Allynna ran down the stairs of the inn, stopping to cover her pointed ears with her hair as she did so. She wasn't sure the people in this town would be freindly towards Elves or not, but she figured it was better to be safe than sorry.
When she reached the dining room, she stopped for a quick meal. Her eyes scanned the breakfast table. Even after nearly a month in the world of humans, she hadn't gotten used to their food. Finally, she decided on a slice of hot bread-"toast," it was called. Then, clutching her backpack, Allynna rushed out onto the street and started walking. Eventually, the town was behind her, and she was in the forest. A few more steps and she was at the stream.
After a drink, Allynna closed her eyes and recited an Elven spell. A small wave rose up beside her. With eyes still closed, Allynna gently stepped onto the wave, trusting it to hold her wheight. The wave surged forward, and, still carrying Allynna, sped down the stream at an incredible pace. About an hour later, she stopped for rest; holding a spell was tiring. Finally, in late afternoon, the stream ended, and the wave collapsed. Allynna hopped off and made the final part of the journey on foot, until she reached the school. Upon entering, saw an odd looking group: 2 boys, weredragons by the looks of them, and a fairy who was creating flames. A fire fairy, then. And another boy with black wings, who almost looked like he was following them. Now they were walking into another room; a dining hall? Allynna took a deep breath and walked over to join them.
