What's that behind me...?

(after much thought, I've decided what's following Seillam :3)

As the lights from the school started to twinkle between leaves and Seillam found he could see the path clearly, he slowed his pace, listening intently to the movement that had been following him. When he could see the outline of the school Seillam stopped. Whatever was behind him stopped hastily and seemed to trip backwards into the foliage a little. Seillam pinpointed the spot and darted forward, stretching his arm out into the leaves. His hand closed around the fabric neck of a shirt and he yanked back, pulling a person out of the darkness. Immediately a name appeared above his head, Josh Deways, a human. Seillam smiled darkly at the horrified expression on the boy's face, "Are you lost?" he asked quietly.
Josh stared at him, his eyes wide, and said nothing for a moment then stuttered, "Uh, I-I think so.." Seillam nodded, still holding Josh up by the front of his shirt, "You know, humans generally aren't welcome here." he said matter-of-factly. The boy gulped, "I-I was trying to leave! Honest! I just couldn't find where I came in and got lost, then saw you and thought you would know the way out!" He stopped and seemed to realize Seillam's use of 'humans', "Wait you aren't human?!" Seillam nearly laughed out loud, "I used to be! I'm cursed to forever see the names of all, and know their weaknesses." Here he paused, reading the long list of human weaknesses hovering in electric blue over the boy's head, "And Josh Deways, you seem to have a very severe allergy to dairy, how sad." Seillam shook his head in mock sadness, hiding his smile in shadow. Josh's eyes widened but he shut his mouth, thinking that this man had been called by his friends for some horrible prank.
He didn't find it funny in the least, and wished they would just end it already because he had to be home. He made up his mind, looked straight at the man and said "This isn't funny, ok? Would you quit the act and let me go? You know I have to be home soon." Seillam stared at the boy for a second, then burst out laughing. He let go of Josh's shirt and the boy fell back onto the ground. Feeling he had ruined his friend's prank successfully, Josh smiled slightly, "Who are you anyway?" he asked Seillam, who was catching his breath. The man glanced back at Josh, a wide smile across his face, "I am Seillam Cuoro, a teacher at the Evermind Academy." he gestured towards the lights as he said it. "And I think it best you come with me." Seillam continued after a lonely howl came from deeper in the trees, "Night is not the best time to be out without a proper guard here."
With that, Seillam grabbed one of Josh's wrists, pulled him up off the ground and led him the rest of the way to the Academy, even though the boy tried to pull back saying "I told you I have to be home!!" Seillam's grip didn't soften until they were inside the building and headed to his office. When the two entered his office and Seillam had shut the door firmly, he let go of Josh's wrist and leaned against the door, looking the boy over in the light of the room. He had dark brown hair and darker eyes, slightly pale skin and was wearing a tee and jeans, not unlike the majority of human teenagers Seillam decided. The boy seemed pretty ordinary to the teacher, although he would have to be dealt with somehow, which was usually not entirely enjoyable, especially not for the trespasser in question. With a sigh Seillam turned on his receiver, connected to Byron and asked his friend to come to the office.
A few moments later the artificial human stood in Seillam's office looking at Josh unblinking, wondering if he could be at all useful in the school anywhere. Josh was feeling uncomfortable with the two teachers standing in silence, the one who had just arrived in particular for he didn't appear to be breathing. But Josh stood facing the two quietly, waiting for one of them to say something. Finally Byron nodded slowly and said, "I think he could be useful here, maybe in my class to see if he has any potential in potions or if he can craft." Seillam agreed and they both glanced at Josh, who switched his gaze from one to the other nervously, "What...?" he asked. Byron's pale green eyes lit up, "You are now going to work with me until we find something better to do with you!" he said brightly.

(so sorry that was so long! ^^')
