I hate arrows. Really, really hate arrows. That's the first thought in my head as the world starts going black and I start dropping like a sack of bricks. From a distance, it's almost like someone's telling me good night, but that's hard to believe, when I haven't had a true good night in what feels like forever.

I woke up slowly, not sure if I should open my eyes when I don't know the situation, and decided the next course of action was to take stock of everything. My arm hurt, but it was a pain I expected, seeing as how someone hit me with a "toxic" arrow. I felt tired, but it was the usual fatigue I always felt. Seeing how nothing else hurt, I started trying to figure out where I had been taken to.

I was lying on something slightly hard, like something you'd find in an exam room. It smelled like...nothing. There was a faint trace of blood, but it smelled like mine, so I wasn't too concerned, and there was a faint underlining of rust, like dried blood that hadn't quite been scrubbed out. I tried to smell anything else and not think of what the smells reminded me of when a new scent hit my nose, informing me that I wasn't alone. I regulated my breathing to mimic sleep and listened closely, somewhat liking the smells. The smell of food disappeared as a door was closed, and then it was me and the man-judging by the heavy footfalls-who smelled of summer and sweets and earth.

I was interrupted from my musings when something cold brushed my bleeding arm and I couldn't force my body not to react. I opened my eyes and rolled off the bed, then fliped so that I was on the otherside of the room with my back against the wall and only after I had assured myself of the fact that I was still okay, did I raise my eyes to meet and greet one of the people who captured me.

Yay! We're finally begining again~XD.
I don't mind of we do it in the Renaissance, though do forgive me if I accidentally add in something from the modern age. And I'm thinking of adding a second charrie, and the maybe a third later on.
