heroes of our time

Erela

Akane seemed a bit restless and impatient. I guess I was just used to keeping to one task for a while at a time. I was the castle maid, after all. This place took forever to clean sometimes.

"Unfortunately not. This will be a very arduous affair, I should warn you." I told her before flipping through a book of alchemy. She returned to the chair she claimed with a few books.

A few moments of uncomfortable silence passed.

"Can you tell me a fond memory you have from when you and Ethan were in your own bodies?" Akane asked. Breaking the quiet atmosphere was a relief and I'm glad she did it.

I thought for a moment, tapping my index finger on my bottom lip and stared off into space. Ethan and I had to be maybe 8 or 9 before we were fused. I remember being sent away at age 10 by myself but occasionally Ethan would steal my conscience away from me.

"There was a time when our parents entered me in a pageant, I remember." I pictured little me, wearing the frilliest dress and matching shoes. Blond hair held back with a big fluffy bow. Light makeup on my young face.

"I was ready to go on stage at least an hour before I would present myself to the judges. I was so excited because I was certain that I would win." I blushed at the memory.

"But one of the other little girl's brother pushed me down and they completely messed up my look. Ragged my hair, stole my hairbow, ripped my dress, and smeared my makeup all over my face. When Ethan saw me, he ran after those boys." I laughed a little, remembering his short legs as he tackled a boy.

"After he made them apologize to me, he helped me get ready for the pageant again. Ethan probably didn't tell you about how he's a makeup wizard." I chuckled, "I've seen him transform people like it's nothing."

"I didn't win the pageant, but it was one of the best days."

BrokenTear

"We always end up talking so seriously. What's a happy topic? I don't mind serious topics, but I like your smiles better, so lets find something happy. There must be something happy that's story worthy." Yuki playfully announced her realization. I felt the heat rise in my cheeks. She liked my smile. Something Alyssa would say.

"At one point in time, Forever had a major shopping addiction." I grinned to myself, saying aloud the first thing I thought of that makes me laugh.

Yuki raised an eyebrow at me, a gesture to elaborate.

"He used to get really bored, so he would subscribe to those shopping magazines that have cute little knickknacks and such. It started as something just to look at. But then he started ordering. And what a disaster that was." I laughed a little before running a hand through my hair.

"He once ordered like 25 lawn gnomes. Like yeah, this medieval castle will surely brighten up with freaky little gnome eyes staring at him in the front yard." I said sarcastically.

"I finally confiscated the magazines and his money the day that we received 12 boxes of candy canes."

Forever

Setsu took a long gaze at my body. There was a longingness in his eyes that I really liked. I didn't quite understand what that look did to me but it made my body flush with more warmth and I grew a massive desire to be near him.

"Have a good shower? Had nothing else to do, so waiting for you to be done wasn't too hard. I can wait while you get dressed." He tilted his head and grinned with amusement.

Hey, he's not disgusted with me. I smiled at that thought.

"Okay. I'll be just a moment." I spoke quietly before slipping into my room. I opened my closet and examined everything.

What shall I wear? What's a cute outfit? What would Setsu like?

I finally decided on something. I pulled on a black top that revealed my shoulders and a pair of dark rose colored shorts. I slipped on black thigh-highs and a flower crown of roses. I added a necklace with a lockable heart locket and silver chainmaille bracelets.

I took a breath and stepped out of my room, hoping Setsu would find enjoyment in this outfit.

Hah, I hope you guys enjoyed the random stories I made up on the spot xD this is a really weird post.
