"That's a cute story, Erela," I told her as I sat back and tried to imagine a younger Ethan who would stand up to bullies and defend his sister. I loved what I imagined. "I didn't know that about Ethan and make-up," I thought aloud.
"Let him work on you just to show you. You won't recognize your own face," Erela replied before going back to her own book.
With me being able to shape shift into anyone, I had never really needed to know how to use make-up. I knew the basics. Mascara, lipstick, foundation, but anything more than that was getting too complicated for me. I guess being the real me, it might be fun to see how beautiful I could really look like.
"I guess there's a lot about Ethan that I don't know," I said as I leaned my head against the back of the chair. To be fair, we knew the most important parts of each other, or at least, I think we did.
Glancing up from her book, Erela assured me, "Well, you've only known each other for a couple of days. What did you expect? You two will figure it out." She gave me a smile before going back to reading.
I nodded, knowing she was right. I went back to reading, but after several more hours of coming up with nothing, my mind began to wander again. The guy running this mansion seemed pretty big and important. He had to be knowledgeable if he had this many books at his disposal. I barely knew him or what he was capable of. But since we weren't able to leave the grounds, maybe he had contacts with the outside world that could do more research for us.
"Hey, Erela." I sat up in the chair and looked over at her. "Do you think BrokenTear would know anything more about this than us? I mean, he is the head of this mansion, and he seems to know a lot about a lot. He obviously likes to read. Maybe he's come across something in his years that could shed some light on it? Oh, but I suppose you've probably talked to him about it already, huh?"
