I can live with that, though it is responsible for lolomgwtf inducing moments in my life. This one you could say is my own fault. Since I decided to click that link and fill out the form and thus become what is known as a member. Since that fateful moment I have naturally had plenty of questions for Indi as to what is this and what is that.
It’s not too terribly difficult since I have lurked at other sites over the years. I was never very active at any of them though. I’m forever being caught up in other things and forgoing online activities. Indi is online far more than I am, though some of that comes from using online resources through her college so that’s to be expected.
If she’s at my place, like she was last Friday. And I’m doing something for work, which I was. Then she’ll take over either my laptop or my desktop and either browse while I work on reports, or hang out at the various places she knows online.
This time, she decided, out of nowhere, to ask me to pull up a chair next to her (she was currently using my desktop). Then she literally handed me the keyboard and was like: have fun! o_O She was currently logged into the chat feature here. That is something I do not have access to yet since I haven’t been a member long enough. If I have the time right, that option will open up in two weeks.
Anyway, it was certainly interesting enough. I have used chat before, just not the one here. And naturally people immediately starting being goofy with declarations like “I’m a PC and I like to eat pancakes.” Or “I’m a PC and I like mudkip” I’m not sure what a mudkip is though.
Naturally Indi was laughing like the imp she is, even as she explained how actions in the chat worked. It was fun though. However I felt a bit stiff and wooden over suddenly talking to people I hadn't talked to like that before. It had to have been a bit odd for them as well since the user name was Indi and not Facundity. o_O
Oh and I did not play with any buttons in there at all. I’d feel pretty stupid if I accidentally did something I shouldn’t have since she has more options as a moderator. I’ll wait until I can get in there under my own user name before I start seeing what everything does.
