Recap:
Gilbert shook his head, "Ja. I know that, but that's not what I mean." He paused for a moment, "Yes they are born here. They are both born on March 17. The day Italy was formed."

"The day Italy was formed," Gilbert said, "They represent North and South Italy. They are personifications of Italy. Feliciana as North Italy and Lovino as South."
"Us? Does that mean you're one of them too?" Winry said, trying to get all of information to her head.
"Ja. My name is Gilbert Beilshmidt. I am also known as the fallen country of Prussia," He sighed, "There are many others like the Italy twins. One for each country. "
Edward nodded, "I see. But my question is why must they go back to Italy if they are sick?"
Before Gilbert can answer, they heard someone quietly walk down the stairs. "Ita! You have to get back to bed! You're still not well yet!" Gilbert said as Feliciana came up to them.
Both Winry and Edward saw in surprised to how quickly she healed. She looked as if nothing happened. Feliciana said in a quiet, weak voice, "Non, Gilbert I'm fine on my own." She sat down, "I can answer that for you."
Edward nodded and Feliciana continued, "The reason why we must go back to our country is that if we don't get back home in a month's span," She paused, "We'll eventually get weak and soon later, we will die." Gilbert hung his head low and nodded. The other two widened their eyes.
Edward sighed and stood up, "I don't know if I can understand all of this, nor can I believe it all." He put his hand to his face and shook his head. Gilbert stood up, "You have to! We are not lying and Feli is the only one I know who can never tell a lie." Feliciana nodded and stood up, "I don't tell lies, Edward. Winry. Please believe us. If other humans find out about us, it's not going to turn out well for us countries."
Winry stood up, "I'm sorry. I guess you can say that I believe you, but it's still hard for me to understand. I think that what Ed wants is proof."
Feliciana stood up, "I can show you proof. I never wanted to show this to anyone because it brings back terrible memories. But you'll have to be quick or brother will wake up." Edward shook his head, "You don't have to show us. If it brings bad memories, then you don't have to." Winry nodded in agreement.
Feliciana shook her head, "Non. I'll show you. You said you want proof, I'll show you." Gilbert sighed and helped Feliciana up from her seat. All four walked down to the basement. The basement looked as if no one has been in here for centuries. "I never liked going down here," Feliciana said, looking around. They all stopped at one door. The door was barricaded with wooden planks and nails. They were easy to remove so they all took it down without problem. As they entered the room, Edward and Winry looked around as Feliciana and Gilbert stood in the doorway, not wanting to look inside.
The room is covered in newspapers and papers from World War 1 and 2. Most newspapers about WW2. Edward stopped at one newspaper and read to himself, "Benito Mussolini is brutally murdered. Italy surrenders to the Allied forces. Italy must pay for the rest. Since many were killed during the war. Italy was captured and was sentenced for a shooting. She was announced dead." He turned to Feliciana and said, "Is... Is this all true? All of these papers here? All of them."
Feliciana nodded, "Si.. They are. I also have the gunshot, not gunshots to prove it." Winry followed behind Feliciana. When she came back, Winry nodded. "It's true, Ed. All over her back were multiple gunshots. A few shoots her through the heart. She could've died in an instant with the first one but, she still lives."
Feliciana nodded, tears swelling up in her eyes, "Si. I would've died. But as a nation, I will only live until the country falls itself. I only accepted the shooting because I didn't want to upset my people. They got what they wanted." She leaned against Gilbert and began too cry, "All those people. I killed them with my own hands. Men, women, and even children. I am nothing but a murderer. Just because my boss told me so." Gilbert patted her head and carried her, now sleeping in his arms. "That's all for today. I pray that you should not tell others about this. Please, we beg you. We don't want the same to happen to Ita again."
