Chapter 2
The Sakimoto's had requested some tea and company so my father asked me to go up to the room. I calmly walked up the stairs to their room and knocked on the door. I took a deep breath and put on a smile. Ren answered the door. "Oh...

Gemstone Eyes
Chapter 1
If I had know that he would have met that much to me I would have never given him a room. But I did, and our story unravelled shortly after.
"Hello. Welcome to the Kimicho Inn. For one night it costs one thousand two hundred yen. Would you like a room?" I gave the usual spiel. "Yes please." The group said. "Alright, how many nights and how many people?" I asked. "Seven nights and five people." They answered. "Okay! I'll show you to your rooms." I said. We walked up the stairs and I tried hard not to fall on my kimono, even though I had been wearing one for as long as I could remember.
"These two rooms will be yours to share. If you need anything just call for me. My names Sayuri." I smiled. I finally got a look at the group. A man and woman with tight expressions stood together. "Okaasan and Outosan." I thought. Three boys stood in front of them. The smallest one had black hair and brown eyes and looked fairly tired. The middle one also had black hair, but hazel eyes. It was the oldest looking one that caught me off surprise. He had shaggy brown hair but his eyes were a emerald green. That's all I could look at were those gemstone eyes. "Oh! Alright have a nice stay." I quickly said after a few minutes and ran off.

After several days I learned his name, which was Ren. It was getting close to the tea ceremony so I prepared for it. My parents had enrolled me in tea ceremony since I was twelve and I had almost perfected it. Being an innkeepers daughter required things like that. Tonight I would perform a traditional dance. The clock hit the time and all the guests who wanted tea came down. Ren was one of them.
It went by like a breeze. I served it to each and every one of them and they all had a sparkle in their eyes. They always did after a tea ceremony. Ren muttered a thank you and looked away after I smiled. A little disheartened I went back to my room.

Before dinner my Father told me something interesting. "We will invite the Sakimoto's to dinner with us. Be on your best behaviour you hear?" He instructed. "Why Father?" I asked. "They are a very wealthy family. We might make something of it." He said I nodded. We set the table and waited for the Sakimoto's.
To my surprise Ren and his family walked into our room. I looked down when serving the food and tried not to make eye contact. The night slowly warmed up, and I knew a lot more about him. This boy with brown hair and emerald eyes seemed to be very interesting.
Sorry I haven't written a new chapter in so long! Here it is:

Chapter 9
When we arrived at my house Hannah seemed actually a bit shocked. She seemed to be expecting a sky-scraper apartment or a metropolis townhouse. indeed just lived in a small house a few blocks away from her. I had picked it for smallness and normality of it. An average person would have lived here and that was exactly what I was trying to be. I had had Watanuki decorate the interior. It was actually a nice place to stay in and I had grown fond of the small house.
She had walked into the door way, still looking around at all the little details. "Expecting something else?" I smiled. She gave a small nod. I gave her a tour of the main rooms, avoiding my room for the cases. I showed her the room I planned for her to stay in. I liked it the most. The window over looked the forest area that was behind the house. On a beautiful day it had an enchanting view and I thought she might like it. "I'll go make some tea. I'll bring it up when it ready, okay?" I said. "Alright." She agreed and lay on the bedspread. The tea was finished and I went up the stairs.
She lay asleep, breathing quietly. So dainty she seemed. But so different then all the people I had met in my lifetime. So different then the murderers and the police. Slowly I put her under the covers and wrapped the blankets around her. I closed the door and gave the extra cup to Watanuki.

I woke up early and flicked on the TV. All I had subscribed to was the murder story channels, as that was all that interested me. I crunched on the cereal I had gotten when I heard the soft adding off feet going down the stairs. She had a minor case of bed-head and her clothes were rumpled. She looked, shall I say, cute. "Up sleepy-head?" I smiled. I always smiled around her. Her response was a yawn, and I struggled to keep in my laugh.
She sat beside me and glanced at the TV. "What are you watching?" She questioned. "I don't mind the murder mysteries." I replied. She nodded and went to the kitchen, looting the cupboards until she found the cereal then poured herself some. "So what are we going to do today?" She asked. I paused. I hadn't thought that far so I just shrugged.
The day wore on and we did our separate things. A bit after noon she asked me a question. "Oh. Do you have any clothes I can change into?" She asked. I couldn't think of owning any clothes other than mine but looked anyways. In the dresser was a sundress. It shone a sunshine yellow and pink cherry tree blossoms stretched from the sides. It was obviously Watanuki's doing.
I showed her the dress and delight streamed across her face. "Oh! It's so pretty!" She exclaimed. When she came out from the bathroom she was the most beautiful I has seen her yet. The dress came down to her knee's and flowed gracefully whenever she walked. I felt my smile stretch across my face. All I could say was "You look lovely."
She started blushing and looked down at the ground. "Let's go to the beach!" I decided. She smiled. "Sure, if it makes you happy." She agreed. Little did she know that everything she did made me feel happier then I'd ever been in my life.
Here we are! It was fun doing this chapter
