Who Final Chapter
Note: I will be posting a prolouge for you guys to enjoy.
My university days treated me well. I went along with Lawliet almost everyday, except when he was with Light Yagami. Lawliet had seemed to develop a friendship and almost a rivalry with the top student Light Yagami. I had to say he didn’t seem that bad. But the times were rough, with Kira going on and everyone was scared. Everyday on the news the headline would say, “Another criminal judged by Kira” or “ So-and-so killed by Kira”. I was all against Kira and was disgusted that people supported them. Kira was not justice. This new world he promised was worse then the world was before Kira existed. Kira was killing the criminals, but he was the biggest criminal there is. Lawliet and me both thought the same. Although I found it odd that Lawliet asked me to call him “Hideki Ryuga” when we stayed at the university I didn’t think much of it. Light Yagami seemed to take note of me and Lawliet staying together but I didn’t care. Light Yagami was not of my concern. Until a few years later.

It was November 5th 2004 and I was 25 as was Lawliet. Kira was still at large. Lawliet and me were now living together in our own house. Lawliet was gone again, and I’d figured it was his job but I didn’t know exactly what his job really was. Watanuki went with him. Watanuki dropped by every time Lawliet was going to leave so I knew that he wouldn’t be back in a while. This was normal to me now and I was used to it. I’d sent him off with a smile, a bag of his favorite tea and a piece of cake. He smiled at me wearily. He had seemed distant that day and when I asked him what was wrong he only mumbled “The bells are awfully loud today.” Like he was possessed. It was raining hard all through the night, just like it had been in that day. I usually waited for Lawliet to come home but I had to go to work tomorrow so I’d decided to go to bed. I put I on my P.J.’s and slipped into the covers. Drifted off…. I was standing in a room with lot’s of computers and people. I surveyed the room. There was Lawliet and Light Yagami was standing beside him. There were other people there but I didn’t know who they were. “Quick everyone the Shinigami-“ Lawliet started saying but then his eyes widened. His spoon dropped and he started falling from his chair. I rushed to him. “Ryuzaki!” Light Yagami screamed and caught him. “Lawliet! What’s wrong!?” I screamed. He couldn’t hear me. Light Yagami held him. “Ryuzaki!” Light Yagami yelled. “Lawliet! Stop it stop it!” I screamed, tears poring down my face. Lawliet started closing his eyes. “LAWIET!” I screamed at the top of my lungs. Light Yagami smiled. Lawliet closed his eyes. “RYUZAKI!” Light Yagami screamed. “Lawliet wake up!” I yelled. I woke up. “Lawliet…LAWLIET!” I screamed. No one came. I sobbed. “Lawliet won’t be coming back.” I choked. And then I remembered. “Light Yagami was smiling. Why was he smiling?” I think. And then a name sprung up in my mind. “Kira.” I whispered. I swallowed. “Light Yagami is..Kira.” I think. Then I sob again. “L..L…Lawliet.” I think. “YOUR SO STUPID LAWLIET!!!! WHY’D YOU HAVE TO DIE!!!” I scream. But in my heart I don’t believe it. Lawliet is gone.

Chapter 15
After prom I saw Lawliet more often, but still not enough to content me. I decided that it was time for university. I mailed my application to my university of choice and waited. I brought up this topic one night when Lawliet was home. “I’ve decided I’m going to go to university.” I say. Lawliet looks at me wide-eyed, while Watanuki nods his head understandingly. “And which one is it?” Watanuki asks. “My first pick is To-Oh University but I doubt I’ll get in.” I reply. Lawliet keeps staring at me then slowly turns his head to Watanuki. Watanuki give’s Lawliet a breif, short nod. “Hmm.” Lawliet says, then returns to eating his dinner. “What was that?” I think to myself. “Well you never know with Lawliet…” I smile. I clean my plate and get some tea and cake for him. “Thanks.” Lawliet says as I lay his dessert out for him. “And good luck on To-Oh University. We just might see each other there.” Lawliet gives me a thumbs-up. “You mean to say your going to To-oh too?” I say in amazment. Lawliet nods. “Well that’s great.” I say and give him the thumbs up to.

The weeks had dragged on and I’d been doing nothing in particular. Everyday I’d go outside and check the mailbox, even if the mailman never came that day. Finally when I was just about to give up hope I checked the mailbox for one last time, and there it was. It was nice and fat too, which I thought was a great sign. I dash inside and opened it. Hannah Hale we are pleased to accept you to To-Oh University and are looking forward to seeing you. “Yes!! Yahooo!!!” I yell all through the house. “What! What is it!?” Watanuki and Lawliet burst out of their rooms. “I made it to To-Oh University!!!” I yell, shaking the acceptance letter into their faces. “Congratulations!” Watanuki says happily. Lawliet hugs me. “Oh come on Lawliet!” I shriek. He let’s go. I’m so happy. “I get to spend all of my university days with Lawliet!” I think. And thus it begins. The undoing of me
Chapter 13
It was one night, when Lawliet wasn’t home I might add, that Watanuki asked me a question. “I was wondering if I could assist you on finding a dress for your…prom.” Watanuki asked. I paused wondering what he meant. “Lawliet told me he had asked you to go?” Watanuki said, as if Lawliet had been mistaken. “Oh! Of course Watanuki. I’d completely forgotten.” I said grinning. Watanuki smiled and continued eating. As I was putting away the dishes Watanuki said something. “This means a lot to Lawliet..and me.” Watanuki said. “Oh Watanuki! It’s my pleasure!” I said. “It’s just Lawliet has never been this close to a woman before. And I’m not used to it so..” Watanuki said, thoughtfully. I smiled. “Watanuki I’m hardly a woman.” I teased. Watanuki gave out a weary laugh. “So is tomorrow good for you?” I asked. “Yes yes tomorrow’s fine.” Watanuki nodded. “Great.” I said.

I woke up, threw on some jeans and a T-shirt then got myself some breakfast. After about half and hour Watanuki came down to join me, but no Lawliet. I sighed. “Anything wrong?” Watanuki asked in concern. “No Watanuki I’m fine.” I said. At about ten thirty we went to the mall close by. I gaped at the dress shop, and all the girls in it. I went to the bargain rack, as I didn’t have much in the money department. “Why are you going there?” Watanuki asked. “Oh…well I don’t have much money right now so this rack should do fine.” I said uncomfortably. “Absolutely not Hannah! You will have a normal dress from those racks.” Watanuki said fiercely, jerking his thumb to the other racks. “But I can’t afford those Watanuki.” I said feebly. “I will be paying then.” Watanuki said. “Watanuki no!” I protested. “Yes.” Watanuki said, ending the argument. I went through cream dresses, grey dresses, and any other type of color you could think of! I finally settled on a beautiful blue silk dress (shown below). Watanuki did not even flinch at the price tag but simply nodded and put it on the register. I was awed at it’s intense beauty and imagined myself in it with Lawliet by my side. I almost fainted. I could not wait to see him, my Lawliet, in a tux. I thanked Watanuki many times until he finally said “Please be quiet.” Which I knew was my cue. I went to sleep happy and excited, for in a few more days my fantasy would become true.
Note: Hannah does NOT look like the model in the dress!!!
