So this is my review of a OVA made by the video game,Tales of Phantasia. First at the beginning I should tell this.The OVA was made for the fans who played Tales of Phantasia,because of the complex story.I too only played this game for little,but I did watched the OVA,and I must say this was one of the things that got me again in the anime.They story follows young warriors,or should I say mages,summoners,ninjas and even more.They journey starts at one point in the story,and gets a little complicated at the beginning.But give it more time,because it gets more clear with each minute.I don't want want to give to much spoilers,but basicly they have to defeat an old enemy who was sealed by their ancestors,but got revived again.By then they go to different time periods and lands were he too was. Eventually they defeat him,and peace returns. The main villain(Dalos,if I remember) is really great in this anime.He wants to get world free of humans,of their war nature.He is very similar to Duke from Tales of Vesperia and Spehirtoh from FFVII,both from personality and it's will.(and strength of course). At the beginning the party is no match for him,but later they find a way to put an end to him.The other thing that anime really stands for is it's soundtrack.It is pretty good,especially the beginning and ending song.It got me to listen to it several times. The animations are okay,but not something that you would really remember the most.On the other hand effects are pretty well made.This OVA has standard 4 episodes,and if you have time,go and check it out.
ANIMATIONS:7.5/10-the effects are pretty good,but the characters drawings are average.
SOUND:8.5/10-very good soundtrack and sound effects in general.
DIALOG:8.5/10-the dialog is good.The voice acting is also very good,especially of Dalos.
ENTERTAINMENT:8.0/10-the OVA has 4 episodes,and they are very entertaining to watch.The first one maybe isn't,but later it gets more intense.
OVERALL:8.5/10-a OVA made for fans,but can be watched by anyone.
