Clannad (short review and impression)

Truly a masterpiece, this anime is. It takes quite much to turn a simple visual novel into something like this. Fantastically crafted story will either at the moment leave you laughing or almost crying. Few anime can accomplish much as this one can…

As I mentioned, the anime is based after a visual novel. The style has changed a little, but it still maintains the core of it. While the visual novel was a harem based one, the anime itself follows a strict path, with other girls having their own sub-plot but is quite open with whom the main character will end at the end, but it still leaves in you thinking and questioning on how the story will progress.

For a realistic anime it is not. It has that something magical and something that will leave you questioned about some things. Some answers will be answered, some will wait until the second season, while some will be left for your own imagination to craft.

The soundtrack is as much beautiful as the style of animations and drawings. What will mostly be caught in your eyes are the landscapes and backgrounds. They fit so well with animations of the characters and as well as all the effects that it has to offer, like lighting sparks and many things else.
Definitely recommend to anyone, if you are new to anime or not, if you like these genres or not, everyone should try it.
