An action series quite known as this ought to become an anime sooner or later. Fans were waiting for the legendary devil hunter Dante to appear on the screen in a whole new way. Have they met their expectations?
Well at the first glance it may seem so. The animations are suburb, but what I especially like are the shadings and lighting effects. Many anime could take this one as an example even though they probably didn’t bother too much about it. Soundtrack is good, the usual that you expected from DMC, a trash/doom/heavy metal combination, though you will get the feeling that some tracks just can’t pair with the ones from the game series, which is probably true. The opening has a nice, yet memorable song which I quite liked.
But the plot is where this anime might take down a little. Only three out of twelve episodes are connected, while others are as well, but you will kind of feel like they are fillers each with separate story. I won’t spoilt too much, but don’t get your expectations too much. They could have worked on more things and give fans more, but even for what they have done it is still a pretty decent action series. If you are a fan, don’t miss on this!
