My Favorite Character of the Day!
...Ushiromiya Jessica...!!!
Krauss and Natsuhi's eighteen-year-old daughter. She is an energetic young girl, serving as the student body president at her school, and even leading a rock band. If her father inherits the family fortune, she will become the heiress to the Ushiromiya family, although the family's patriarchal hierarchy denotes her future husband will become the next head. Jessica is tomboyish, feisty, and rebellious, much to the dismay of her mother, who insists she act more refined and ladylike. She dislikes her parents at times for the pressures they place on her regarding the family inheritance, which she has no interest in. However, she still shows concern for them deep down. She was born with weak bronchi, and occasionally suffers from asthma attacks. She is in love with Kanon, who tries to hide his own feelings from her, though she manages to reach out to him in Dawn of the Golden Witch, and they become a couple. She is willing to go to great lengths to gain Kanon's respect, and tries to avoid doing anything that could jeopardize that. Jessica is shown to be skilled with brass knuckles in Alliance of the Golden Witch.

My ramblings:
Ushiromiya Jessica is my fave character from Umineko no Naku Koro ni in all its form, make it in the anime, manga or Visual Novel. For me, she is a headstrong girl with a kind heart. She is also a bit proud, and brash in her actions. But even though she is all that, she becomes shy in front of Kanon, a servant, who she develops strong romantic feelings for.
My favorite scene of her was in the Visual Novel, which was also the saddest for me. After that battle with Kanon and Shannon in Dawn of the Golden Witch, where Kanon dies, it goes to show that he was Jessica's true love, since she cried for him to come back, holding his corpse against her. She was also epic in her battle against Ushiromiya Kyrie, Battler's step mother, where she enlisted the help of three powerful demons, Ronove the butler, and the twins, Zepar and Furfur, by making a contract. In the anime, where Ronove gave her a test in order to become the next head of the family, she was given three choices on who to eliminate, herself, the persona she loves (Kanon), or her family. She easily picked herself, since she was willing to give up her life for the people she cares about. It shows her selflessness and kind hearted side, but it also shows her weakness and selfishness in running away from problems. She eventually changed in the flow of the VN.
All in all, she is an awesome character with not so great character development.
