I step into the feast room. It's mostly empty, except for Keiji, who's leaning on the wall.
"Hey!" I say loudly. Keiji looks up suddenly, startled.
"Made 'ja jump!" I smirk. He turns towards me, and I can see the faint outline of a hand print on his face. "You did no such thing." He says coolly,
"What happened?" I step towards him, and gently brush the mark. Keiji yanks away from me and explains to me what happened.
"May I look for Keiko?" I ask when he's through, " Her mom isn't expecting her home for a while."
Keiji reluctantly agrees, but only if I bring her back to the feast room. I suspect it's so she can be punished farther, but I'd rather see her beaten then know she's walking in the woods alone. Way to many pervs for that!
I slip out the door, and begin to walk the grounds. A few minutes later I see Keiko. She's standing under a tree talking to someone. Probably one of the servants.
"Keiko!" I shout.
She jumps, "Ami! What are you doing outside?"
"Finding you." I answer simply. I study the person she's talking to. It's a guy, maybe a year older then her. Weird. Keiji wouldn't have hired someone that young as a servant. "Who's your friend?" I ask.

“So, are you going to tell me what happened or not,” Haji questioned me. Darn, what was I supposed to say? I was trying to think of an excuse, when I noticed he was staring at me. “Uh... Keiji and I just got into a little disagreement,” I tried to smile. From the look he was giving me, I could tell he didn’t believe me. “So you’re the one who was shouting at him?” he asked me, “you shouldn’t have done that.”
I snapped again. “Since when can you tell me what I can and can’t do?! I don’t remember you becoming my mother!” I shouted at him. He looked shocked, and then looked himself over. “Hmm, nope. I don’t remember becoming a woman,” he chuckled and I couldn’t help myself, I laughed. “So, Keiji slapped you?” he asked, looking serious again. I wondered how he knew, then I realised there must have been a mark on my face. “I deserved it, I slapped him first,” I answered, looking away.
He bent down, and grabbed my chin, making me look him in the eye. “No one deserves what he does to them,” he whispered to me, “he’s a monster.” I was shocked, that’s exactly what I had called Keiji earlier.
~Keiko
“Feh, the zodiac banquet,” I said to no one in particular. “It’s not like I wanted to be there anyway,” I’d convinced myself. I sat quietly in a tree outside the main house, watching as everyone arrived for the banquet, I’d even seen when that ass, Keiji, had beaten up... what was his name again? Kohaku or something like that. The girl with him, had begged for Keiji to punish her instead, I didn’t really understand the point of that. Keiji had grabbed her and pulled her inside, leaving Kohaku, just lying there. After that, a couple of people came out, and took Kohaku with them.
When they’d left, I heard an uproar coming from inside the main house. I couldn’t make out what they were saying, all I could tell, was that a girl was yelling at Keiji. A few seconds later, someone came running out of the main house. As they came closer to the tree I was sitting in, I could see it was a girl, probably only a year younger than me. She sat down underneath my tree, and started crying. “What’s wrong,” I asked her before I could stop myself. She looked up, surprised, and I could see a red mark on her cheek. “Nothing,” she replied, and went to stand up.
I jumped down from the tree, and landed in front of her. “It doesn’t look like nothing to me,” I said, crossing my arms. She went to say something, then decided against it. “Who are you anyway? Only Sohma’s are allowed at the main house,” she questioned me. “I am a Sohma,” much to my displeasure, I replied. “A Sohma?” she looked confused, “but I’ve never seen you before.” “Not many people have,” I smirked. “Hmm, Really? So what’s your name?” she looked at me. “Haji, Haji Sohma,” I told her grimacing. “Haji? Well Haji, It’s nice to meet ya,” she smiled, “I’m Keiko.”

I held Mai's hand as she led me outside. We walked slowly, one foot n front of the other untl Ami stopped and whspered "He's here."
I could tell from her voce that she was close to tears and he was hurt badly. I reached one hand n front of me. "Help me fnd him."
I was led another few steps, then we knelt down and felt Kohaku in front of me. "Foolish of them to send you and I," I murmured. "We aren't exactly a dynamc duo."
I felt for Kohaku's face and my hand came away covered in blood.
"His nose is bleedng," whspered Mai.
"Thats all rght, we can fix it, can't we?" I asked, pulling a hankerchief from my pocket. "Now, I need you to wpe his face off for me and tell me if he's stll bleeding."
Wihtout a word, Mai took the hankerchief. "It's not bleedng anymore," she confirmed a moment later.
I gave her a small smile. "Good. Now let's sit him up and see if we can get him to wake up."
We pulled Kohaku up he sat slumped aganst my shoulder. "Kohaku," I called into his ear. "Kohaku, please wake up."
His head lolled to one side and I heard him whisper one word, "Natsumi..."
Mai and I sat in the silence left by the name.
"We should get him inside," I said. I stood, pulling Kohaku with me, Mai liftin his other arm as best she could. "Too bad he didn't wake up ... right, Mai?"
Mai was silent for a moment before answering, "Yeah, too bad."
