I pause outside of Ami's apartment, and sigh. I know she's not okay, but she never opens up to me. I learned to accept it a while ago though. Ami doesn't get personal with anyone. I push the secretive side of Ami out of my mind to concentrate on better things. Like my (finally) meeting Keiji! Ami mentions him a lot, but never really talks about him. And every time I try to ask, she either ignores me or changes the subject. Suddenly a thought strikes me! I'll get to meet the other people she mentions too! I frown, trying to remember their names...Natsumi, Kohaku, Kameko, Keiko, and...there was one more...Mai! That's it! I run down the stairs, smiling the whole way.
------------AMI POV-----------------
I sigh, wondering whether I should just save Keiji the trouble later and kill myself now. The phone rings, and I answer with out checking the id. "Hello?" I mumble,
"Ami?"
Keiji...Of course...I don't answer him.
"Ami? Are you there?"
"Huh?...Oh, yeah, I'm here." My voice sounds soft and weak, even to me.
"Why didn't you answer me?"
"Sorry..." I answer softly.
"Are you okay Ami? Are you sick?"
I'm startled. He sounds concerned, and slightly worried. Not at all annoyed. A twinge of guilt hits me. Keiji is worried about me. Me. The person dating someone behind his back. Me the "loyal" one who would never hurt him.
"Ami? What's wrong?" He says after I don't answer again.
"Nothing Keiji. Honest. I was...eh...distracted..."
"Hm." He doesn't believe me. "Have you called my Zodiac yet?" he questions. I swallow audibly, debating if I should lie. I decide against it.
"No...I haven't. I'm sorry Keiji, I'll start right now."
He's silent, probably thinking of how to punish me.
"Ami," he pauses, and his next words come out in a rush "If you're sick I can call everyone. You should sleep... or something."
Another twinge of guilt hits me.
"I'm fine," I urge, "I'll call everyone right now, okay?"
He sighs into the phone, "There is no reason arguing with you, as your mind seems made up." He says, trying to regain his cold composure, "Call me when you are finished."
I hang up, and start to call people.

Yes, Keiji does care about his zodiac. Sometimes. Nah, he just has a soft spot for Ami (most of the time). But only cause she's a suck-up and grew up with him.
