TIFA LOCKHART.

Tifa Lockhart.

I'm going to write about my favorite FF character,
obviously the name written above.

Back then, when I was just starting out with the
whole FF fandom, I came across FF7. I haven't played
it back then if I recall correctly, its been a decade
since. FF8 was my first FF, I was such a fan back then
of the game. I was bashing FF7 with all that I had
Today, I regret that and take back anything negative
I said back then.

I judged the game and especially the character "Tifa"
basically with how they presented themselves; the physical
or the superficial sides of the subjects. We all know how
Tifa dresses and it might "seem" inappropriate to some if
not it was meant for fanservice or you may simply just not
care.
I never really had the chance (or just never really cared
to play) the game until last year. My boyfriend was raving
about this game, that it was really good and all. I asked
him if FF7 is worthy of all this hype; and he said yes.
There was only one thing left, one thing that I have forbidden
myself to step on because of my pride.
I didn't really like Tifa back then, I thought she was just
a sl*t, with the obscene pictures I've seen of her (I try
searching her name on google and..the hell these pictures
keep on showing themselves). Needless to say that Tifa isn't
that respected XD. So I played the game, with the thought in
my head that I was going to be annoyed by Tifa from the start
till the end. I played the game for 8 hours or so and WHOA
I was totally wrong about Tifa.

It turns out that she's actually the type of character that
I'd like; she wasn't all that cheery, she kicks major arse
and this is the one trait that made me like Tifa:

she breaks the mold of stereotype female characters.

She isn't the type that is dependable on others and should
she ever give that impression, she doesn't seem to be the
type that gives up easily. I just want to add this, but that
part wherein Sephiroth burns down Nibelheim; it was really
sad This game is really awesome, I know that it
doesn't have the glorious graphics of today's gaming world
but HEY do they possess the quality of story that FF7 has?
FF7 deserves all the praise its been getting; I know that
a lot of people are ranting and trolling about all this
but if you've actually played the game and understood the
story then you're in for a good RPG experience. I've been
playing RPGs for years and its a rarity that a game has
made me write about it this much :)

I know that Tifa may not be the best FF character out there
for everyone, well maybe because of her weapon choice its
not all flashy and stuff. But hey, she's my favorite and I
don't see anything wrong with a girl beating up monsters
with her fists, I actually think its cool
