The group arrived at a scary old tower where the Princess was being held captive by the evil wizard.
Kiki looked up at the tower from her spot on Takuma’s horse, Kaname. Takuma held her close, to make sure she did not fall.
“Teacher…I really think we should have asked Artie for advice…He knows more about black magic…” Kiki said.
Francis twitched in annoyance, “We do not need ‘elp from that British jerk!”
“If you say so…”
Dino dismounted his horse, Scuderia, “We will have to go on foot from here…”
Toshiro dismounted his pony and then helped Mocha off, who was riding with him since she said she thought Rangiku looked like a nice pony.
“Thank you,” Mocha said, hurrying away to stand with her “twin”, Kiki.
Toshiro mentally kicked himself for not talking with her more on the way here.
Once inside Dante noticed two prison cells, each cell held a woman.
“Dante!” one cried.
Dante got a closer look, “Danni?”
Dante was in shock. What was his fiancé doing here? She should be at home
planning their upcoming wedding. Danni nodded. Kiki and Mocha used a spell on the
cell to open it.
“What are you doing here?” he asked, concerned.
Danni ran over to Dante and hugged him.
“Well…um…you know how I told you I got a new job?”
Dante nodded, “Yes and?”
“…I’m one of the Princess’s ladies in waiting…so…umm….we got captured too…”
Francis spun quickly to look at the other cell as Danni mentioned “ladies in
waiting” and “we got captured”. Inside the cell, with her eyes closed was Francis’ heavy with child wife. He quickly used magic to unlock the door and scooped her up in his arms. He kissed her forehead gently. Jenny’s green eyes fluttered open and she smiled at the site of her husband.
“I knew you would come…”
Danni cursed, “You guys got to save the Princess! She’s in danger!”
“That’s what we plan to do,” Dino said, “Kiki and Mocha…would you two please escort Miss Danni and Miss Jenny out of here? Protect them and keep them safe.”
“Yes sir!” Kiki saluted.
Francis reluctantly set Jenny down and let Kiki and Mocha lead her and Danni away.
“So…what’s the plan?” Toshiro asked.
“….Wing it?” Dino suggested lamely.
Takuma shrugged, “Why not?”
“Here squirt, carry this…” Dante said handing Toshiro a bucket of water.
“What’s this for?!” he asked.
“The wizard probably has not taken very good care of the princess, so the water is to help make her feel better. Plus, Francis may need water for a spell. So, do what you are told, squire.”
Toshiro groaned, but did what he was asked.
