“Hey! Kiki! Don’t just stand there, help me look for them!” Jenny teased, as she and Mocha looked for Jenny’s glasses.
“Kiki!” Hime cried, running into the room, followed by Francis and Dino.
“What a relief…” Francis said, “You three are alright…”
“Did you actually kill the enemy?! All on your own?!” Hime questioned.
“That was really rash, but we can at least explore the room now without any worry!” Mocha grinned.
“Why is that?” Dino asked.
“Because the enemy that was hanging around here is gone,” Mocha explained.
“The enemy? How do you know there was only one…?” Hime questioned, skeptically.
“Uh…”
“Wait! Where’s Chero? She should have come after you…” Dino said.
“She went to go look for my glasses in that room,” Jenny explained, pointing to the left.
The room shook and a loud noise seemed to have come from the room Chero was
supposedly in. Dino’s eyes went wide.
“That sound! It came from that room,” Francis said.
“….!! CHERO!!” Dino cried, running towards the room.
Hime and Francis followed after him.
“Kiki! We have to-Kiki?” Mocha questioned, walking over to her “twin”.
“Y-yeah…” Kiki said.
“Oh! My glasses! They were right next to you! Why didn’t you pick them up for
me?!” Jenny asked, walking over and picking them up and putting them back on.
“What? Oh…is that so?” Kiki asked.
“Kiki?” Jenny questioned, “Wait don’t tell me you…”
Kiki backed away from her two friends, “What? We have to go after Chero first. We can talk later!”
Mocha and Jenny looked at each other. They walked over to Kiki together, drawing strength from one another.
“Kiki…”
“WHAT?!” She cried.
“I remember a long, long time ago…many loops ago…I asked you this question as a joke…” Jenny thought to herself, looking at Kiki and then Mocha.
“How many fingers….am I holding up?” Mocha asked, holding up two fingers.
Jenny looked away, tears in her eyes.
“You can answer, can’t you Kiki? If…If you can see…” Mocha said, tears welling up in her eyes as well.
“Please…please don’t apologize…I don’t want to go through that again…” Jenny thought to herself.
“Well…” Kiki sighed.
“It…can’t…be…” Jenny sobbed.
“I’m sorry Mocha….Jenny….I…I can…no longer see…” Kiki said.
Jenny and Mocha both cringed.
