“Fuoco da sopra ascolta la mia chiamata!” Leonides called, causing fire to rain down on the monster he fought, careful not to let Tsukino get hurt.
The monster shook off the fire and started to go for another attack. Leon carefully slid Tsukino off his back and blocked the attack with hi staff. He brought it down on the thing’s head with a sickening thud. He swung the staff above his hand and held his palm outward.
“Perire!” he called as a green light formed around his palm, “Perire nel vento!”
The green light flew at the monster turning into wind halfway there, pushing the monster back. The monster luckily faded away, allowing Leon time to breathe. He had to find Chero and quick.
“Leon?” a weak voice questioned.
Leon quickly spun around to see Tsukino sitting up a little, “Thank Vejovis!”
He was so relieved to see that she was okay that he hugged her.
“H-hey!” she blushed brightly, “Let go!”
“I thought you were a gonner! I was so worry! I…”
Leonides leaned in and kissed Tsukino’s forehead. Tsukino turned bright red and pushed him away, turning her face away from him.
“S-sorry!” Leonides cried, “I am so sorry Tsukino! I don’t know what came over me…I was just so worried about you and I…I really screwed up…I just really like you and I thought you died!”
Tsukino looked up at Leonides through all her hair, her cheeks still red. He was so cute when he was flustered. Tsukino never knew he felt that way. She smiled softly as the poor idiot kept babbling. She went up on her knees and leaned forward.
“Stop babbling you idiot!” she said, pressing her lips against his in a sudden and unexpected movement.
Leonides’s eyes were open in shock, but then they closed as he relaxed, pulling Tsukino closer to him, deepening the peck into an actual kiss.
“You’re kidding…Chero…she can’t be!” Mocha sobbed.
Tsukino and Leonides pulled apart quickly as they heard a commotion coming from down the hall. They got up, Leon carefully making sure that Tsukino was stable.
“Those voices coming from the room…Is that Dino and Danni? We better no go in there for now…They were very close to her…” Dante said
They poked their heads around the corner to see some of the group discussing…something…“If only we had gotten here sooner…” Mocha sighed.
“No…It’s my fault for splitting us up,” Jenny said.
“How are you holding up, Hime?” Mocha asked.
Hime closed her eyes, “I…I don’t know…”
“She was like a sister to you…we would understand if you want to go back in,” Kiki said.
“I…I will stay here…I want to be alone with Chero…and for now it’s Dino’s turn to mourn.”
“That…what’s that book in your hand, Mocha?” Jenny asked.
“This? I found it in the library…Actually…it seems to be a journal,” Mocha said, showing it off.
“That’s the book Chero was using, isn’t it? I thought it was a Bible, though…Is that it?”
“Yeah…And there is something…strange about it,” Dante said taking the book and opening it for everyone to see, “It’s on the first page…Here! Look at the name here…”
“Chero….Letizia….Caffarelli…Aoyama…” Kiki said, “That does not mean it’s the name of the journal’s owner…It looks more like a contract page to me…It says…”
Leon turned to Tsukino, “You know what this means right?”
Tsukino nodded sadly, a few tears escaping, “Chero’s dead in this time loop…”
Leonides pulled her into a side hug, “Now more than ever we need Chero’s spell book.”
Tsukino nodded listening to everyone talk about her dead sister.
“Hey. You two,” Kiki stormed over to them, Chero’s journal in her hand.
“What is it?” Leonides asked.
“You were right…This is a doomed timeline. How could it not be? Chero is dead and she is our only hope of escaping…”
Kiki pulled out her watch and looked at the two of them, “You promise that your timeline is the good one, right? That we’re getting out this time?”
Tsukino nodded, “This is the first time Leonides and I are here…So, we are hopeful.”
“Right…”
Kiki clicked her watch and watched as clocks surrounded Leonides and Tsukino, taking them back to their time stream.
Danni was on dish duty when it happened. She was drying a dish when suddenly
Tsukino and Leonides appeared out of thin air. She dropped the plate and cried out in surprise.
“WHAT THE FUCK?!”
Dante hurried in, “Are you alright?”
Danni nodded pointing at Leon and Tsukino.
“Ah. Welcome back,” Dante greeted.
“Welcome back? They scared the shit out of me and you just welcome them?” Danni flailed.
Dante chuckled, “Yep.”
