Lana went into her classroom and sat down at her desk, she took out the piece of paper and smoothed it out. She glanced at it again, her ice blue eyes piercing the page, missing nothing. She smiled meekly to herself and put it back in her blouse pocket.
Meanwhile...
The blonde girl ran into her art class, and opened the door. She was 10 minutes late and the whole class stared at her as she apologised to the teacher. She sat down at her seat and got her work out of her backpack. She was particularly proud of it, she loved how she'd got her different colours to blend together without any tell-tale signs she'd used her fingers to smudge them together. Halfway through, her teacher called her up to the desk.
"What's the matter? Eh? You've been really subdued for the past few days, is everything alright at home?" The girl nodded. "How about at school? Nothing's bothering you here, is it?" The girl shook her head. "I don't know what to do with you, then. It just seems like you're in your own little world. Is there anyway I can drag you out?" The girl again shook her head. Her teacher sighed and sent her back to her seat. The girl sat next to her leant over and looked at the blonde girl's work.
"Wow. That's amazing. Did you draw that yourself?" The blonde girl nodded. "Is that an original, like something you've pictured?" Again, the girl nodded. The girl sat next to her gave a low whistle then carried on with her own work.
The blonde girl carried on drawing, and ignored everyone's whispers and chatter. As the lesson ended, she packed up her drawing and left the classroom quickly and quietly. She went into the girls' lavatory on the 3rd floor, like she always did at break: she had no friends to share a snack with, or share gossip with.
Unfortunately, someone else was there, too. Someone else with red hair and bright blue eyes. Someone else carrying a white piece of paper folded. Someone else that had a grin on her face and an evil glint in her eyes.
Lana Smith drew herself up to full height and stood in front of the timid shy girl, who was, weirdly enough, turning a shade of beetroot unseen before on a person.
"What is this drawing?" It came out as barely a whisper, but it hissed into the blonde girl's ear like a snake ready to attack. The blonde girl muttered something along the lines of "Messing about. Drew it for my brother."
"I'm not buying it!" Lana's blue eyes blazed fire. "What the hell is this picture?"
She flashed it in the blonde girls face. Two girls were embraced in a passionate kiss. One had red hair and the other had blonde hair. They both had their eyes closed and hands linked.
The blonde girl looked over her own drawing and managed to draw some strength from somewhere.
"I just drew it for a competition. I draw on a website and I put my pictures in as entries. This weeks entry was for a picture on Shoujo Ai ok?"
"Show-ju WHAT?"
"SHOUJO AI! It's female love. It's like Yaoi, just with girls."
"Ok, you've lost me. But you're gonna get it, bitch! For stalking me. For drawing ME KISSING YOU! You are an ugly little toad, and one which I intend to stamp on NOW!" And she advanced towards the blonde girl, who was retreating. Unfortunately, she was going backwards into a cubicle. Lana kept on coming, her fist drew back.
And the girl called Yasmin Davidson sobbed silent tears as Lana kept on coming...
