Well, Cass is on her way to Uruguay for a year and a half. I'm tired. This is going to be annoying for a while. Didn't even get to finish our video game. Now we've got to wait 18 months to find out if we save the world. We did watch the Mr. Stain epilogue, though. Let's just say Stain never dissapoints. It was really, really wierd. Even for Stain. And yet, the entire thing is still endearing. I really like that stupid show.
Speaking of shows, I really like Burn Notice. For some reason, I always enjoy it more in the summer. Last summer I think it was my job. You sit in a police station proof-reading 79 page policies in a corner, windowless room long enough, you really crave something sunny, stupid, and without police policies. Yay Burn notice! But it on a break then, so at least I get it now. It's a really good show, too. I wasn't originally expecting that. I think you would really like it, Dean. It's not really Supernatural, no tragic brothers. But there the characters are all brats, and bad things happen to him. I know you like tragic brats. You give it a chance. It grows on you. And the actors really are good. I especially like how Donnovan never looks sincere. He's got a good voice too, recognizable and good inflection. I think we should get him for EPIC.
I've been looking into buying the original Hulk series too. I love old tv/movies. Man, I has Cass watch some with me, and now she call herself a Bill Bixby fan. He is the reason I started watching it. He had the subtlties down. I love that. Very few actors can get all the little things. Hugh hjackman is another one. And Alan Rickman. Watch him in the background of movies, when it's not his scene. He adds alot more to the character than I think they direct him to. Anyway, The Hulk is a very good little show, it's 20 years off air, and it's still $100 at the cheapest. That's a pain. I think you would kinda like that one, too, Dean. You'd at least appreciate McGee. He's awesome. And never not a jerk. I could go on and on about this show, but I'm not going to.
Well, lots of tv. Um... well, my dad watches Burn Notice with us, and he sits back there and laughes every single time (no exaggeratin) Bruce Campbell opens his mouth. So for father's day I got him a mousepad that says "Trapped in Time, Surrounded by Evil, Low on Gas." Evil dead series. I admit I haven't even seen the whole thing. I've seen most of Army of Darkness, and the first one. Never even seen the second. They're all rated R. I don't really watch R movies. I'm too cool. But Army of Drakness was funny. There's an Evil Dead Musical also! Sounds hilarious, but I'll probably never go. The funniest thing, is Campbell is so campy in all his roles, but the interviews I've seen him in, he's so down-to-earth. He seems like a pretty cool guy. This is the guy that made a spoof on his spoof starring himself as himself. Also looks really funny, but probably R. He knows how to make fun of himself, and that's always a good thing.
I have a cough again, which means my voice is dead again. My voice is so fragile, I'm literally incapable of screaming. If I talk loudly for more than sentences it leaves. If I talk normal for a longish amount of time, it leaves. And when I do the voices for our video games, it leaves. We play multiplayer, alot of "Tales of". When we bring them over, we usually get great voices, but they cheap out. They don't voice as much as they did in Japanese. So, somehow, I got the job of voicing everyone line that they don't. That counts the townspeople and everyone. And I have to try to sound like the voice actors or make up my own for the extras. Jade (TOA) and Raven (TOV) are impossible. I can do pretty much everyone else. Inflection, pitch, and everything. But you try voicing Moses, norma and the stupid otters for 5 hour s at a time and then going straight to Tear or Kratos or Miew or Yuri. I get raspy and then everyone sounds like Norma with Moses' accent because it's alot of fun to do, but you get stick. Or going from Tear to Chloe. Or Kratos to Will. Zelos to Moses. And make them as different as the actors do. And then I lose my voice and I can do Genis and Karol real good. If anyone understood any of that, you play too many video games. So every time that I lose my voice, I have this cough for about a month and a half. Ten my voice never comes back all the way. This has happened a number of times now. I don't have the range or the control that I used to. It's sad. It makes me sad. I kinda thought that voice acting would be really fun for a while, but who's gonna hire you when your voice can't hold out, you can't yell or scream, and you don't swear. I auditioned for FullCast Audio once, got a callback. He said I was one of the best auditins he had that day. But I had the voice problem on the callback from other things and he didn't like that.
So..... I'm going to stop now. Lots of rambling. But if anyone reading is going to Boston soon, don't drive, be extra careful not to get by a car, try the GoBoston cards, and go to The Tomb. It's fun.
Goodbye.
