Why would you even do that?!

~Lilith~

I twitched as the brothers introduced themselves. A werewolf? I had to resist the urge to claw his eyes out. Fairies had hated werewolves for centuries (I will explain why later on in the story). I waited for the next person to introduce themselves, but no one stepped forward. “Is that it?” I asked Micheal.

He thought for a second, “Hmm, well there should be a few more people coming. But for now, I guess we can start with the test!” Everyone nodded, some in excitement, while others looked miserable. “Alright! So your first test is a fight. Well, it’s more of a brawl actually.”

Everyone looked at each other. “You mean you want us to fight each other?” the female demon who had said her name was Kallik seemed to shake. I felt sorry for her, she really looked like she didn’t want to fight.

“No, no, no,” Micheal assured her, “you’ll be fighting my guards.” “There’s only one rule, no killing,” he said sternly, looking straight at the demon who had introduced himself as Oric.

“So, what’s the point of this brawl anyway?” the elf named Xexilia spoke up. I was curious too, why call these people here, if they couldn’t even defeat a few guards?

Micheal chuckled, “why else, to test your strength! There would be no point sending you on this mission if you can’t even fight.”

I looked at him, “but why else would you choose them?”

He looked at me like I had just asked a stupid question, “I just sent out a few random letters.” All I could do was stare at him, he couldn’t be serious, could he? The look on his face told me he was.

“And why would you do that?” I sighed. Sometimes, he just didn’t think things through properly.

Sure enough, he looked at me blankly, “I don’t know.” I had to suppress a laugh. “Anyway,” he continued, “who would like to be the first to show their skills?”

Woot! Time to start brawling!

Oh yeah, and would anyone be interested in doing a 'story thus far'?
