Hanna
"A brawl?" I said dumbfounded. He wanted us to brawl. That's the test? What is this king thinking?
"Did you hear that?" Dusk said huffily.
"Yeah is he crazy."
"He just sent those letters randomly." Dusk said shaking his head incredulous. "I thought he sent the letters to the best of the best or something." Dusk glanced around the room. "Are the rest of these guys really that strong? Well I'm pretty sure some of them are formidable." Dusk glanced at the demon Oric warily, the elf Xexilia and then at the incubus Chase.
"Hey Hanna why don't you go first?"
"Is this another lame murder scheme?"
"No I haven't randomly tried to kill you for the past month."
"That's why I'm asking." I thought about it. Well why not, might as well get it over with.
I raised my hand high over my head. "I would like to go first your majesty."
"Excellent!" The prince said clapping his hands. He jumped to his feet. "Come follow me to the Coliseum." He left the chamber with the blue haired fairy walking beside him and several royal guards following him. I went after them and heard the others did the same.
The Coliseum was held out the castle and it was all most bigger than the castle itself. The Prince stopped when we were inside the entrance hall. "The challengers go that way." He said pointed at the dimly lit hallway to their right. "Miss Hanna when you reached the end go to the right and it will lead you to the battle arena. The others take the left that will lead you to the stadium where you may watch the battle."
I nodded and followed his directions. I heard the others following behind me but pay not much attention as I thought about what I should do. Basically I'm mostly witch considering abilities and talents but I want to show people my skills in both witchcraft and ninjutsu. I turned right at the corner and found myself on the edge of the battle arena.
The battle arena was mostly a rocky terrain and there on the other end were roughly forty soldiers. I peered at them and rationalized how strong they must be and already came up with a plan.
The prince's voice was heard, echoing around the coliseum. "Alright Miss Hanna you will fight against my soldiers. Remember I said no killing and there is another thing. There's a time limit so you have thirty minutes to defeat my soldiers." I looked towards where the prince was sitting and nodded. "Now let's begin!"
I ran forward in ninja lighting speed and I heard Dusk moving beside me just as fast. From the corner of my eye I saw him transform into his battle form. He drew into a shape of a very large black panther with large bat like wings and scorpion like tail, and fangs like a saber tooth.
"Dusk you take the twenty on the left and I'll take the right." I said bringing out my shurikans and lacing them between my fingers.
"You got it." He roared and charged at his targets and the soldiers charged at him and I was impressed that they didn't show fear at his form.
I threw my shurikans and they precisely hit eight soldiers in the intended pressure points and they were knocked. From the stance I heard several cheers of approval. One soldier was on charging at me with his spear aiming for my head I jumped and the spear narrowly missed me and I kicked him in the face and he fell down backwards.
"Nine down," I said and more soldiers came at me. I grabbed at another soldier's spear and pulled myself up fast and used the momentum to kicked him and he went down and I took his spear. I twirled it around and used it to knocked the weapons that were aiming at me and then swung the spear at two soldiers' feet and they tumbled down. To make sure they stay down I whacked them unconscious with either end of the spear.
"Twelve down," I said and glanced at how Dusk was doing and he had already taken down fifteen soldiers brutally and the remaining three looked sort of uneasy.
I noticed that some of the soldiers I were supposed to be knocked out were rising to their feet and collecting themselves to attack me again.
"Okay, eleven down." I muttered. I decided to pull off some magic. I dropped the spear and the soldiers that were about to launch at me paused.
I raised my arms over my head and chanted, By the five points of the pentacle I summon the elemental of earth Terraclops the Golem. The earth beneath my feet tremble and I sensed the magic working from deep underground and rising to the surface. The rocks and dirt move and rise from around me then it took shape to a medium sized giant that took third quarter space of the arena. I heard surprised exclamations from the audience.
The soldiers stared up at the golem and they looked uncertain of what to do. "Terraclops create a sand trap." I ordered the elemental. He raised a hand and it cast a shadow over the soldiers and they men cried out in surprised and as the solid ground under them turned into quick sand. They struggled to get out.
"Struggling only makes you sink faster." Dusk stated nonchalantly I looked at him and saw that he had finished dealing with the twenty soldiers. He was sitting and licking his paw lazily.
I turned to the soldiers and they were up to there chest in quick sand. "Seized and harder." I said to the golem. Terraclops curl and uncurl his rocky fingers and the sand turned into solid earth materials and the soldiers stopped sicking.
I put my hands on my hips and looked around. There were no other soldiers left to fight so this met that--
"THE VICTORY GOES TO HANNA AVALON!!!" The prince's voice rang out. There loud cheers and applause vibrating in the air. I rubbed my hand at the back of my head and grinned.
"Alright you won." One of the soldier said suddenly. "Could you please release us now."
I laughed, "Of course."
After that me and Dusk (now in his small winged cat form) went to find seats in the stadium.
"Huh, not bad." Someone said. I turned and it was the greedy elf woman.
"Did you enjoy the show." I said grinning I was in a very good mood after my victory.
The elf glanced at me and I saw a question in her eyes.
"What is it?" I asked.
"How did you master the element summoning at such a young age." The elf said frowning at me. "I knew the Primus Wicce was also a elemental master but it takes decades to master one element am I right?"
I nodded. "Yes but let's just say you can blame my father's genes." I grinned at the blank look she gave and then she shrugged indifferently.
I went and find myself a seat and wait for the next fight.
