Test of Strength~Xexilia

I walked over to the prince as the human/demon fox finished up his fight.

"Prince, I'd like to go next if you don't mind," I said, resting my hand on his shoulder.

He made a swooping gesture towards the arena with his hand, "Go right ahead."

I nimbly jumped over and landed in the arena.

Alright so what had been used so far?

Poison, bows and arrows, demonic powers, witchcraft, ninjutsu, hand-to-hand combat adn more.

Seems like a lot of my areas had been covered. But not all of them.

The soldiers entered shortly after me, weapons at the ready.

Shrugging, I dropped the twin blades at my sides, keepig just my bow and arrows.

Looking around at the rocky terrain, I said, "Let's make this setting more to my liking, shall we?"

I knelt down on one knee and placed my hand on the dry, rough soil.

Plants, trees, and other greenery began to grow at an alarming rate.

Shocked outbursts came from the soldiers at the ther end.

Then they moved, softly for most but loudly for me.

As they reached the general area where I had been, they found no trace but the twin blades on the ground.

From my perch in a high tree, I strung my bow with five of my least harmful arrows. After all, killing wasn't permitted.

I pulled the string back and let the arrows fly through the air.

They hit their marks, the calves of five soldiers, and before the others knew what was happening, they too were hit.

The arrows, tipped with a slight amount of poison from a peculiar flower, immobilized the legs of the victims.

About twenty or twenty-five soldiers had fallen only about 10 seconds after the first shots had been fired.

Maybe another talent of mine would make for a more creative show?

By now the ones left had spotted me, so I switched trees.

Soldiers with bows and arrows stood at the ready and fired at any movement.

I placed my hands on the branch I sat upon and mumbled under my breath some old words from the language of trees.

The tree creaked and groaned back in reply.

I jumped to the ground in the middle of the soldiers and embedded my fingers into the now soft earth.

They shot at me and swung swords but vines sprung all around and grabbed the weapons and the the soldiers in a tight embrace.

I stood up and touched a point of the neck on every soldier. Their struggles ceased as the lay limply in the "arms" of the vines.

Putting a hand gently on the ground, the spontaneous forest disappeared as quickly as it had come.

As I left the arena, I collected my arrows from the fallen (not dead, just either immobile or knocked out) without spilling a drop of blood.

Quite content, I lept back into the stands and sat beside the Harlequin Incubus who had just about finished sobbing.

"Such pretty tears," I whispered as I lifted his head and stole a tear on the tip of my finger.

I smiled at the girl on his other side who glared at me.

Oh how fun it was to give pain to those who cause others pain.
