What an enjoyable Saturday NOT!!

~Takumi~

She picked out some random clothes then looked at me.

“What?”

“I need to get changed.”

“So go to the bathroom.”

“Okay then.” She responded and I stuck a wing out blocking the door.

“Unless you want to stay here.”

“Let me out.” She stated.

“You’re no fun.” I said then let my wing down.

“T-that’s right.” She stuttered then walked into the bathroom.

I got dressed into a pair of black cargo pants, And a black and white striped t shirt. Once I got dressed she walked out of the bathroom in skinny jeans and a black and silver shirt.

“Very nice.” I commented.

“Umm…thank you.” Her face had a light shad of pink to it.

“Your pick front door or window.” I offered.

“Uaaaa…”

“To late.” I said grabbing her and then jumped out the window.

She screamed and clung onto me. “Your psychotic!” She screamed.

“Calm down, I’m not going to drop you.”

“I don’t care I like the ground.”

I mock dropped her and she screamed again. I laughed.

“That’s not funny, at all.”

“Actually it kind of was.”

“Do you want to see me cry again?”

“No.”

“Then stop it.”

“Fine.” I sighed.

“Don’t act so disappointed that you’re not going to make me cry, seeing as how you like to do that a lot.”

“What do you mean a lot, I don’t make you cry a lot, that was the first time back there.”

“Oh my go how fricking high are we?”

“Well I would have to say…500 feet give or take a few hundred.”

She started trembling.

“I’m not going to let you drop, Mai, relax.”

She shook her head. “Just because you’re fearless doesn’t mean I am.”

“Fine I’ll lower a bit.” I said closing my wings and dropped into a free fall.

“I’M GONNA DIE, TAKUMI NO!” She hollered.

I opened my wings again and instantly caught air. “There we’re lower.”

“How could you do that to me, after you promised.”

“I promised I wouldn’t drop you.”

“Why do you always twist words around.”

“Because it makes life more interesting.”

“Until you suddenly ended abruptly.”

“There’s nothing you can do about it.”

“Do about what?”

“Look we’re here.” I said.

“Oh god where are we?”

“My parents use to take me here when I was younger.” I swooped down into the small clearing.

“A waterfall?”

“What if I just dropped you in?”

“I would rip your wings off.”

I laughed and set down on the bank then let her down.

“These rocks are slippery, you know what a frickin klutz I am.”

“Don’t worry I’ll catch you.”

She walked over to the ledge and looked down the waterfall. “Hey it’s actually kind of pretty.”

“My parents and I came up here every summer before they got their jobs that stole them from me.”

“Takumi…” She said quietly.

I looked over at her. “What is it?”

“N-Nothing, n-nevermind.”

Oh, alright then.” I walked over to her and looked over the edge. “I’ve been wanting to get all of you guys up here, it could be like our own little place.”

“Yeah, that would be nice.” She smiled.

“I’ll have to bring you back here in the winter to when everything is frozen over and the sun is shining though the trees.”

“It sounds beauti-“ Her foot slipped and she tumbled over the falls.

“MAI!” I shouted jumping off and grabbing her wrist and pulling her in. There wasn’t enough time to catch air so I shifted us so I was on the bottom and we hit the water.

She held onto my arms and pulled me to the surface. I gasped for air as soon as I could. Mai was coughing, and struggling to stay above the water. I grabbed her and got her one arm around my neck and side stroked to the bank. She coughed and I patted her on the back.

“I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean it…”

“No it’s alright, really.” I laughed lightly. “It looks like I’m not flying until my wings dry though.”

“You could have really gotten hurt, and I’m so stupid to have gone that close to the edge.”

“Like I said it’s alright. You just wanted a better look is all.” I smiled wringing out my shirt.

She looked down and didn’t bother trying to dry herself off, not even a little.

“Come on I know it’s close to summer and all but I don’t want you getting a cold.”

“But I would deserve it.”

“No you wouldn’t, Mai you’re to sweet of a girl to deserve anything bad.”

“Yea what ever.”

“I mean it Mai.”

She shook her head. I sighed and kneeled down. “Can you at least wring out your hair?”

She nodded and did that, then she sighed. “Now we wait.”

“NO now you get on my back and I give you a piggy back ride back home.” I stated making my wings disappear.

“What if I wanted to stay here with you for a little while longer?”

“Well we could do that too.” I sat down next to her.

She smiled. “Since you taught me how to fly, maybe you could teach me how to swim sometime.”

“How about the day we get out of school?”

“Deal, you had better not let me drown though.”

“I would never do that.”

“Well I’m glad, you know, we can go back if you want to, I just wanted to see the fall from down here.”

“Then we can go, come on get on my back.”

She got on without any arguments, and I was now ready to get back home and get some dry clothes on.

“Its about an hours walk back to the house.”

“that’s ok, your wings make a nice brace for me, I hope I’m not hurting you.” She said in my ear.

“No, I’m fine, as long as you don’t hit my sweet spot.” I laughed.

“I’ll try not to.”

“Well, you’ll know it if you do!”

We walked for about 15-20 minuets.

“Your wings are dry.”

“That’s alright I’ll keep walking.”

“They’re really soft.”

I felt her rest her head on them and I kept walking.

“You sure it would probably be easier if you flew.”

“I’m sure I’ve always liked walking in the woods.”

“With a heavy girl on your back?”

“You’re not heavy, I was just trying to get you to stop pressing my sweet spot.”

“From the way you were talking it sounded like you had a couple.”

“Well you know I get into those moments where I talk before I think.”

“So you are an air head.”

We both laughed.

“You know I’m a deep thinker too.”

“I know, I do, I just love, picking on you.”

“Everyone likes picking on me, I’m just your little Takumi.”

Well, we are the same height, I can’t say anything about you being little.”

“But I’m a dude.”

“and?”

“and I’m a dude! I don’t know, guys should be like, eleventy feet tall!”

“eleventy huh?”

“Don’t pick on me, it’s Saturday.”

“That’s no excuse.”

“In my world it is.”

“And in my world, there are pretty little unicorns trying to cut themselves, and little bunnies carrying around machine guns.”

I laughed. “You know I hugged a tree once, but it bit me, so my conclusion was it was an emo tree and didn’t want to be hugged.”

“Well that sucks for that tree.”

“I know I give out amazing hugs.”

“Yea, yea.”

“You can not deny me.”

“uh…”

“You know what I forgot to do before we left?”

“What did you forget to do, Take you happy pill?”

“No I forgot to put on my eyeliner.”

“We’re in the middle of no where, you don’t need eyeliner.”

“Last time I checked, I thought I was an emo.”

“You’re not emo, you’re just Takumi. And you don’t need eye liner, your eyes are pretty just the way they are.”

“Thanks I guess.” I muttered.

“What do you mean you guess?”

“I don’t know?”

“Duh, did your brain shot circuit?”

“No.”

“What’s with the simple answers, I thought that was my thing?”

“Maybe.”

“Seriously.”

“Yes.”

“Jerk.”

“I thought we were over this.”

“hahaha, more complicated than yes or no.”

“Oh look the apple orchard.” I motioned towards the clearing.

“There’s and apple orchard here?”

“Yea my family owns all the land that we just walked.”

“Has this always been here?”

“Yea.”

“Why did I not know this?”

“Because you never asked.”

“Well you never told.”

“I didn’t think it was a big deal.”

“It’s not.”

“SO why are you complaining?”

“Who said I was complaining?”

“Me.”

“Well YOU are wrong.”

“I love your sarcastic attitude, it’s so obnoxiously annoying.”

“You’re one to talk.”

“Thank you.”

“You’re welcome, I guess. Any other secret places around here that you haven’t bothered telling me about?”

“Well my tree house isn’t to far off.”

“You have a tree house?”

“Of course I have a tree house, every little boy has a tree house.”

“And every little girl has 50 thousand dolls.”

“Don’t they?”

“Hell no dolls are creepy.”

Some random people started coming out of the woods. “Excuse me but this is private property, so get off of it.” I ordered.

“Takumi, run.” Mai whispered in my ear.

“I said leave this is private property.” I said taking a step backwards

“Takumi, they’re the people from the secret lab, run.” She muttered.

I turned and ran. I heard footsteps behind me so I picked up the pace a bit more and went into a dead sprint.

“If you have to fly.”

“I can get away from them like this.” I responded. “Just duck when I tell you to.”

“They’re still behind us why are they so fast.”

“Well we’re about to see if they can jump.” I stated.

“What are you talking about?”

“Duck.” I jumped and we made it over the bushes then 10 feet I had to jump again. When I landed on the other side I was breathing heavily and I stopped and turned around.

“Look at that they can’t fit.”

“Good…” I sighed taking a couple of deep breaths to slow my breathing.

“If you need to set me down.”

“No it’s alright.”

“What can I do to help?”

“You’re fine the way you are just keep a look out.”

“Those guys just turned around.”

“The bridge is about five minutes in that direction.” I motioned towards my left.

“What do you think we should do?”

“Get back to the house as soon as possible to make sure that Haru and Aki are still there.”

“Oh my god I hope they’re okay.”

So do it.” I muttered and started running again.
