~Takumi~
“Yea you have a point there.” I laughed lightly shifting so I was leaning against the wall and she rested her head on my shoulder. “I hope we get out of here soon.”
“So do I.” She whispered.
I put my wing over her and looked up at the ceiling. ‘what progress do they think that we could have made in a day?’ I thought to myself. ‘And why do I feel warm? I don’t feel like I’m getting a cold.’
After a while of silence the door opened and another person walked in. It was the lady that gave me the pill.
“Takumi could you come with me please.” She questioned.
“Mai, I have to go, I’ll be back.” I whispered to her and gently set her down on the bed and stood up then followed the women out of the room and to a random room on a lower floor. I walked in and then she left me alone in the dark room.
“Takumi Katsu this is stress and endurance level one, there are 20 levels to this, you’ll have a time limit that I will not tell you and you have to find the key and get out of the room within that time limit.” Her voice came over speakers that were in the room.
“What are you talking about? Why can’t I know the time limit?” I questioned.
“Your time starts now.” The lights flashed on quickly blinding me for a second I covered my eyes and ducked something wiped over my head.
Everything came into view and I looked up. A metal disk was thrown at me. ‘It was a good thing I ducked, but how did I know it was coming? Have my reflexes heightened that quickly?’ I shook my head ‘there’s no time for me to be thinking about that, I have to find that key.’ I got up and looked around it was a larger room then what I first thought how am I supposed to find a key in here? I dodged and dove around things but I couldn’t find it anywhere.
Then I looked back at where the metal disk was. “It can’t be that easy.” I muttered spreading my wings to get over there faster but got shocked.
“No using your wings in this level.” The women said.
“Fine.” I snapped and ran. A group of lasers ran from wall to wall in front of me. I cracked my fingers “I love being flexible.” I smirked and started going through the lasers. Right as I was about to make it out something came out of nowhere and punched me sending through the lasers they burnt me as I tumbled out of them. “Ahhhh.” I cried clutching my arms.
“Get up, Takumi.” The women ordered.
I got up and tried again but the same thing happened. ‘I have to get through this, I can’t let anything happen to Mai.’ I thought and my heart skipped a beat. ‘What was that all about?’ I pressed a hand over my heart for a second then stood up. I looked up at the ceiling “If I can’t go through I’ll go over.” I told myself and took a few steps back then ran and jumped I cleared the lasers and got to the other side safely. I ran over to the metal disk and found the key in the center of the disk. I pulled it out of the disk and unlocked the door. Everything shut down.
“Very good, you made it with 5 minuets to spare.” The women said over the loud speaker.
“There you got what you wanted from me now let me go back to Mai.” I ordered.
The women came though the door. “Fine, just tell me something, has anything started to happen to Mai?” She questioned.
“No, nothing has happened to her.” I said with a straight face.
“Very well then.” She frowned and we walked back to the room where Mai was.
“Mai!” I smiled and ran over to her.
“Takumi you’re hurt.” Mai mentioned.
I hugged her “It doesn’t hurt; I made sure I came back, I don’t want anything to happen to you.” I said
