Our little date [Edit]

“Ok Haru, just where do you want to go now?” I asked hooking my arm through his.

“Well, I figured we could go to a movie now.” Haru mentioned.

“Please say we’re going to see a funny movie?” I begged.

“It doesn’t matter to me.” He replied. We walked in silence for a bit. The movie theater wasn’t too far away from the restaurant, so we just walked. My heart was beating quickly. ‘I just want to tell him how I feel.’ I thought.

“You alright?” He questioned, snapping me out of my thought.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Just kind of thinking.” I told him.

“About what?”

“About what Takumi would do if we started dating.”

“Why would you be thinking about that?” He asked.

“I don’t really know, it just kind of popped into my head.” I stated.

“Well, he would probably have a heart attack.” We laughed.

“I never did answer you when you asked me that question yesterday.”

“What are you talking about?”

“Truth or Dare.”

“There were a lot of questions that weren’t answered.”

“You.”

He blinked at me. “W-What?”

“You.” I pulled my arm away from him and opened the door to the theater. “You go in first.” I smiled.

“Isn’t it supposed to be the other way around?” He asked.

“I figured it was the least I could do.”

“Whatever I’m not going to argue.” He walked in. “Do you want to get popcorn?”

“We just ate.”

“I’m hungry.”

“How can you be hungry you ate more than I did.”

“I’m a growing kid.”

“Yea you’re a kid alright.” I commented.

“I’ll take that as a complement, you seem to be good with kids, like my evil little sister.”

“She’s adorable? Unlike her older brother.” I smiled.

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“Oh nothing.”

“Wait, you’re right, no, I’m not adorable, I’m hot.”

“Y-yeah, full of hot air anyways.” I said.

“You could never say no to this face could you?”

I looked up at him and smiled lightly “No.” I smirked.

“I didn’t think so.” He grinned.

“Actually, that was a statement, not an answer, quite being so serious.” He stuck out his tongue at me making me laugh.

After we got popcorn we went into the theater and sat down at the top. There weren’t many people in the theater but that meant that we didn’t have to deal with people getting up and walking in front of us or blocking the view of the screen. I couldn’t concentrate on the movie at all, I kept glancing over at Haru and he must have been doing the same thing because our eyes met for a split second and we both looked away from each other. My heart was pounding and I flet my face get a bit warm. ‘should I tell him that I like him? What if he doesn’t like me back.’ I thought.

The movie ended and we walked back to his truck.

“So did you like the movie?” He asked.

“Oh yea, it was good, thank you for taking me.” I smiled getting into his truck.

We really didn’t talk on the way home. He got out of the truck and walked me to the door.

“Maybe we could go for a walk later.” I offered.

“Um, sure, what time?”

“How about in and hour?”

“Sounds good to me.”

I hugged him “Thank you.” I pecked him lightly on the cheek the ran inside.

“Maybe on the walk today I’ll tell him, it’s always worth a shot.” I muttered.
