Time to go to bed

~Takumi~

Mai calmed down and she got really close to hitting that spot on my wings to make me topple over. It felt really weird being so close to someone that it was a bit uncomfortable.

“I think I’m going to go and take a shower.” I told her taking a few steps back then I went off towards the stairs. I grabbed a pair of boxers and longer shorts then went into the bathroom.

I let the water from the shower beat against my chest for a while. “What is happening?” I muttered to myself. I looked at my hand. “I’ve never been so weird around someone before.” I stayed there for a little longer then decided to get out. I went back into my room and laid down for a bit. My head was throbbing maybe because I usually don’t think that hard.

“Oh right I have Mai over I should go and see what she’s up to.” I told myself sitting up and leaving the room.

I walked into the kitchen and she wasn’t there. Her phone was gone so I figured she was texting Aki. I went to the living room and I found Mai dozing off her phone was in her phone next to her.

“Mai I think you should go to bed.” I said putting my hands on my knees and watching her head nod.

“I’m not tired.” She stated slowly.

“Come on you’re going to bed.” I said holding out a hand and she shook her head.

“No.”

I sighed and picked her up off the couch she didn’t seem to fight back but she kept attempting to pound on my chest but it didn’t work. I took her to the spare bedroom and laid her down. I brushed some hair out of her face. “Night Mai.”

"I, I don't want to sleep, I wanna be with you." She said holding onto my wrist.

“You’ll see me in the morning. I promise I’m not going anywhere.” I laughed.

"It's not even late yet. Just a bit more time, please? You're making me beg like a kid." She frowned sitting up.

“Mai it’s 11 at night, we have school tomorrow, unless you would rather me take a shower with you.” I joked.

"I dont, care," She yawned. "I just, don't want to be alone."

“Yea you really are tired.” I stated “Because usually you all of a sudden get really warm and stuff when I say something like that.” I commented. “I’ll sit here with you until you fall asleep then how does that sound.” I said sitting on the floor.

“Okay.” She said sleepily and plopped back down on the pillow.

Soon after I heard her slightly breathing and sat there a little longer with her still holding onto my wrist. I put my head on the bed and I slowly drifted off to sleep without meaning too. I woke up at I’m thinking around 3 in the morning and went to my room then passed out for the rest of the night.
