"I'm sorry I didn't think that you screaming would hurt my ears but it did. It came out like it was the high frequency ringing." I said then I heard the high frequency ringing and I clutched my head in pain. ‘Where is it coming from?’ I thought looking around
“Takumi, what is it?” Mai asked “What’s wrong?”
“High frequency….hurts, rooms spinning.” I muttered then I felt my self drift off.
I shot up and it was dark out. I looked around and blinked a few times trying to figure out where I was. Some how I was back in my own room at home. I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up but fell to my knees right away I clutched my leg in pain. I forgot that I got cut. “What was that?” I asked myself thinking of my dream. “Was that me? I don’t understand.” I muttered. “I need to get up. I have to make sure I’m not the only one that was allowed out.” I told myself getting up off the floor.
I got out to the stairs and I was breathing heavily. My entire body felt really heavy. It was hard to move. “Why…do I…feel like this?” I asked no one. “What did they do before sending me home?” I felt really funny like something was trying to take over like the raven DNA was trying to over power me. From all the strain I didn’t make it down stairs I must have passed out on the floor by the stairs.
I opened my eyes and I was in the room with Mai. I wanted to move but I couldn’t really move at all. I felt like I was in water and I was sinking. It was really weird. “What…happened?” I said slowly.
“Takumi you’re awake!” Mai said.
“Everything…feels…funny.” I said blinking.
“Feels funny?” She questioned.
“Like I’m sinking…and it’s warm.” I answered.
“They put something in your IV that is probably causing it.” She said brushing her hand against my cheek.
“I…had a strange dream. I was back at thro use but I couldn’t really move it felt like there were weights being dropped on top of me till I couldn’t move and I passé out.” I explained.
''That is odd, but its ok, you're here with me now. Aki and Haru got sent home. I told them I was staying here with you.'' She said.
I slowly shook my head. “Sleep over at Aki’s tonight, I’m sorry Mai, I don’t want them to do something to you in your sleep.”
''I refuse to leave you alone. They can do what they want to me.”
“Mai” I looked over at her “…please…for me, can you go and sleep over at Aki’s tonight.” I begged not wanting her to get hurt.
''F-for, you?'' I felt her sit down on my bed and touch my hand. ''I need you Takumi.”
"Just make sure you check my house in the morning. You never know they might take me back home some time during the night." I smiled weakly at her.
''I don't want to abandon you here.” I could hear her crying.
“Mai…” I sat up in the bed and wiped away her tears. “I’ll be fine…” I brushed some of her hair out of her face and tucked it behind her ear. “Remember you’ll be my first option it I turn into a vampire though.” I tried making her laugh.
She smiled and hugged me ''my neck is sensitive, so remember to be careful.'' She said in my ear.
“Right, I’ll remember that.” I laughed lightly.
''Good...I still want to stay, but I don't want to make you mad.''
“I’ll see you tomorrow.” I smiled at her.
She left the room and not too long after that woman from before came into the room. “Come on Takumi it’s time for training.” She said and I looked at her weird. “Your leg will be fine we gave you something so you can use your leg without it hurting for a while.” She motioned for me to follow and I did. She took me to a different room from last time. The goal this time was to just win the fight. My opponent was one of their earlier experiments that the animal DNA took over.
It came at me fast and hard but some how I managed to block it. “What is that?” I asked.
“Don’t let your guard down.” It hissed and I turned around it slashed me across the face and then kicked me into the wall.
I stumbled forward after hitting the wall and it was moving so fast it just kept hitting me and knocking me off my feet. “THAT’S ENOUGH!!!!” I shouted and spread my wings sending a shock wave of wind in all directions. It hit the wall and I glared at it.
“Come Takumi, it’s just like fighting Haru. I stepped out of the way as the thing got closer and I karate chopped it in the back of the neck sending it down for the could easily.
“That seemed a bit to easy for you Takumi. But I guess we’ll allow you to go home while you can still walk.” The woman said walking into the room.
“Maybe you shouldn’t pin your old experiments against you newer ones.” I retorted.
“I’ll keep that in mind. Now considering you can’t fly I’ll have some of my people take you home.” She stated the walked out of the room.
