“I don’t know, but it happened.” She finished with the bandages . “There, all changed.” She stepped back. “Do you want me to do anything else?”
“No, it’s alright. I can get my leg. Go ahead and get some sleep.” I said shifting and getting my foot onto the chair.
“Ok.” She went upstairs.
I finished with wrapping my leg then hopped to the bathroom and grabbed ibuprophin for my head ache. There was a knock at the door. “Hello?” I asked opening the door. It was some of the people from the lab. “What? Do I have to go back for more training?” I sighed.
“Have you taken anything?” The one on the left asked.
“Well, I was about to take this.” I said, showing them the ibuprophin. They took it from me and put another pill in my hand.
“It will allow you to walk on your leg.” The other one said, and I took the pill.
I walked out of the house with them and got into the car. They took me back to the lab and into a large room. “What level am I on again?” I asked looking around.
“I think 6 or 7.” One of them said and they left the room.
“Begin.” The woman’s voice said over the loudspeaker. I did a back hand spring out of the way of whatever came at me.
“I beat you yesterday.” I commented.
“Now it’s time for round two.” It hissed and ran at me.
“Tse..” I jumped out of the way. “I don’t want to play this game.” I said.
‘I’ll do it then.’ I felt funny like I couldn’t move my body anymore and things went black on me.
I formed a feather in my hand and jumped out of the way from another attack, then threw the feather and hit the thing. “Yes, score one for Takumi.” I laughed. “Whoa…” I did a tuck roll out of the way and stumbled getting up.
“I can play that game.” I smirked. I ran at it and slammed it’s head into the ground. I stepped away from it and heard it get up. “I’ll just have to make sure you can’t stand again.” I ran at it.
“Takumi stop it!” I heard Mai shout, making me stop in my tracks.
“Takumi stop it!” He stopped and froze. “You won, don’t kill it, think about it. That thing and you have things in common, it has been hurt just like you have, please don’t make it suffer unless you have to!” The thing collapsed
I looked at it and didn’t move from y spot. “No, let go!” Mai yelled and I looked up at where she was on the balcony. Two guards had her arms pinned by her arms.
“Let her go!” I shouted and ran at them and spread my wings I tried lifting off the ground but crashed my down because of the wound on my wing. “Damn it.” I looked around then saw that it was close to the wall so I ran at the wall and got a few steps up the wall then pushed off and just caught the edge of the balcony. “I said let her go, or I’m going to kill you.” I ordered lifting myself up on the balconies ledge.
“Stop, you’re hurting me!” she said and then one of them put their hand around her neck.
I put a foot on the ledge and pushed off of it then kicked the man that had a hold of her throat in the side of the head so hard he let go of her and slammed into the wall. “Now if you don’t want to end up like your friend I suggest you get the hell away from Mai.” I threatened to the other guard.
“D-Don’t…” She breathed as the guy twisted her arm behind her back.
“I’m under orders.” He told me.
“Fine then.” I answered then got in between them so fast he was shocked and I kicked the guard away while holding onto Mai. The guard hit the railing “Mai are you alright?” I asked concerned.
“I-I think so, I thought he was going to break my arm.” She answered.
“As long as you’re alright.” I sighed in relief.
The door opened and the woman came in with some guys with guns “Seize Mai and contain Takumi.” She ordered.
“I’m not letting you touch Mai.” I shouted getting in front of her.
“Takumi don’t…” She started.
“I’ll be alright.” I told her looking back at her then before she could stop me I jumped down and charged at the men with guns.
They opened fire on me and I was somehow fast enough to dodge the bullets. I made three feathers appear and threw them at the people then followed up by knocking all three of them down. There were too many for me to take on and they grabbed my arms I tried to pull away but they hit the spot between my wings and I hit the ground. No matter what I did I couldn’t get up.
“MAI GET AWAY!” I screamed.
“I CAN’T!” She shouted “TAKUMI!!” I heard her scream as they pulled he rout of the room.
“What do you want with her?” I asked looking up at the woman.
“It’s simple it’s time for Mai to start working on the levels of training.” She said. “And congratulations you passed the next round of training. Now if you’ll excuse me I have some business to attend to.” She stated then walked out of the room.

It’s been so quiet lately. I hope that Mai and Takumi are alright.” I muttered flipping through a magazine. Randomly I would text Haru but it was still pretty early and I didn’t expect him to be awake for a while still. He was just a let sleeper though so I wasn’t too surprised. “Maybe Haru and I should have a sleep over like Mai and Takumi do.” I told my self out loud closing the magazine then pulling out a random book from my night stand.
