~*Mai*~
I was home with my aunt, happy as a clam about what had just happened. I walked outside so I could water the garden and heard something behind me. I turned but someone grabbed me and put something over my face, and then I passed out.

I sat up fast and looked around. I saw that I was in a large room, and I was on a small cot. I noticed a few strange looking machines and other various things in the room. On the far side I saw a large glass box and a ways away from that, another one. Inside that one, I saw a person, and they were chained up inside it. I squinted and saw that they had red and blue hair. “TAKUMI!” I screamed and jumped up and sprinted across the room. I heard an alarm go off and people rushed into the room and grabbed me before I made it over to Takumi.
“Hello again Mai.” I looked over and saw the lady that had tormented us before.
“Let Takumi and I go right now!” I demanded.
“Or you’ll do what?” She asked.
“I’ll…I’ll…” I stuttered.
“What can you do Mai? Power wise?” She asked.
“I’m not telling you.” I glared.
“Oh I think you will.” She pulled out a taser from behind her back.
“No, Takumi wake up!” I yelled. I saw his wings disappear and he lifted his head and saw me. He opened his mouth, and tried to talk, but I couldn’t hear anything. “Can you hear me?” I asked him. He nodded and continued to try to yell to me.
“You can’t hear him Mai.” She said. “But yes, he can hear us.” And she put the taser to my side and the men let me go, and I screamed. I saw myself flicker and she stopped. “Alright invisibility is good. Now what else can you do?” I shook my head and stood up again. “Well then, let’s do a few tests then.” She pulled me over to the other glass box, which I now saw was filled with water. I instantly panicked.
“No, no you don’t understand…” I begged.
“I do.” She replied cooly.
“I can’t breathe underwater, I swear!” I told her.
“Too late for that, we need to make sure now.” She snapped and a few big guys pulled the hatch open at the top and tossed me into the water. I held my breath and immediately banged on the glass, trying to break it. Everyone was just watching me, and I saw Takumi, looking terrified as he was screaming something as he began to try to break out of his chains. I could feel that I needed air, so I went back up and tried to open the hatch myself, but it was no use, and there was no air pocket to be found. I went back to hitting on the glass, but I started slowing down, and I let some air in my lungs go. I could feel myself slip to the bottom of the tank and my eyes shut. Water flooded into my chest, and I couldn’t stop it. I thought I was going to die, until something pulled on me and then I hit something hard. I coughed up a lot of water and gasped for air. I saw I was on the ground again.
“Well, that’s a no.” I heard the lady say. After I stopped coughing a bit, one of her goons pulled me back to my feet and held me there.
“Stop this…” I asked her.
“What else can you do then?”
“I don’t know!” I said honestly.
“Liar.”
“No I’m not!” I yelled. I heard a banging and looked over at Takumi. He was now sort of out of his chains and now doing everything he could to break the glass container he was in. He managed to crack it.
“Leave her alone now!” I heard him.
“Takumi…” I said. The lady ignored him and pulled out a knife and walked over to me.
“Let’s see about healing.” She smiled.
“NO!” Takumi screamed. Before I could say or do anything, she had sliced down my cheek and stopped at my neck.
“Ow…” I felt the blood run down my face. I saw Takumi looked horrified in his box. “Don’t look at me Takumi.” I turned away.
“Not a healer either? What’s wrong with you?! You may just be my worst failed experiment yet you’re worthless. Fine, let’s try flying now.” I didn’t bother to fight as I was pulled over to a ladder and was carried up to the highest platform, despite Takumi’s screams, threats, and pleas that I could now hear.
“I’m sorry Takumi…” I whispered.
“Push her.” I heard the lady command, and I was shoved off the platform.
