~*Mai*~
“Hey Mai, can I talk to you for a bit?” Aki asked I nodded and followed her into a room upstairs. “So…how have you two been getting along?” Aki asked.
“Same old same old.” I smiled.
“So he hasn’t noticed at all. Ugh, I’m going to have to slap that boy silly.”
“Oh no, don’t hurt his pretty face.” I smiled.
“I know, I know.” She sighed but I saw a small smile creep up onto her face.
“He’s just, such a sweetheart. I could never be mad at him.”
“Yeah he is a sweetheart but he can be so oblivious.” Aki said putting her hand on her head.
“True. I like him so much.” I said.
“Too bad he can’t see it.”
“Well, it’s alright. It’s how it’s always been.”
“But it’s not fair.” She protested.
“Life’s not fair.” I pointed out.
“I know.” She said.
“I’ll tell him, I will. When I’m ready.” I said. It was getting harder and harder to control my thoughts.
“Alright then, I won’t push it.” She promised.
“Ok, so you and Haru seem to be doing great.” I smiled changing the subject.
“Yeah, I love him.”
“I’m so happy for you two. You’re perfect for each other.” I laughed a little.
“Thank you.” She smiled at me.
“Wanna see if we can pick a movie to watch with the boys?” I asked. I knew a movie might help keep my mind off of Takumi, but then again…
“Sure, that sounds good.” Aki nodded.
“So what movie do you want to watch?” I asked. She shrugged. “How about an action movie? So the boys won’t complain.” I smiled.
“Sounds good to me.” She nodded.
“Ok, and, um, Aki?” I started.
“I promise I won’t tell Takumi.” She answered without me having to even ask.
“Thank you.” I smiled. I felt kinda bad for lying, but I figured it would be worth it.
“You’re welcome.”
“Well let’s not let the boys wonder what we’re talking about.”
“Ok.”
“I’m surprised Haru isn’t running around looking for his lover.” She laughed and followed me into the kitchen when Takumi called that the food was ready. She grabbed a plate and I was handed mine from Takumi. I didn’t dare look at him. We sat down on the couch next to each other. We ate silently, as Haru shoved food into his face. ‘I really want him to do something…like touch my hand or anything really…’
“That’s cute.” Aki said out loud. Haru stopped in mid bite.
“Humph?” He articulated.
“Oh it’s nothing hun.” Aki rolled her eyes. He smiled and returned to eating. ‘I know he can be an idiot.’ She thought to me.
“Oh yeah…no doubting that.” I said. She laughed. The boys looked at each other and shrugged.
“I’ll take the dishes out.” Takumi said standing up.
“I’ll help.” I grabbed Haru’s plate as he was in mid bite again.
“Well, alright.” We walked into the kitchen together.
“I’m having a hard time doing this…” I whispered.
“You’re doing great. Just keep your cool.” He said putting the dishes in the sink after rinsing them off.
“Oh…this sucks!” I pouted. He chuckled and kissed me quickly.
“Come on, before the start making out.” We quietly walked in and Takumi smirked. “Too late.” They both jumped and looked over. “Let’s watch-”
“TITANIC!” Haru shouted.
“No.” Takumi said flatly.
“But, it’s a cuddle movie…” He frowned.
“Any movie for you two is a cuddle movie.” Takumi pointed out and grabbed Ice Age, and put it into the DVD player.
