“Did you feel anything when you accidently kissed Mai?” Aki asked me.
At first I wasn’t too sure how she knew about that but then again Mai and Aki were best friends so then again it made since that they would tell each other almost everything. I looked at Mai and she smiled and bit her lip a little.
“Maybe…” I answered looking down at the ground.
“Tell the truth.” Aki said crossing her arms.
“Maybe is an answer.” I commented looking up at her.
“That is true Aki.” Mai said with a little bit of a disappointed look on her face.
“Okay, my turn.” I looked around seeing who I should ask next then my gaze stopped on Mai and I smiled a little. “Mai, truth or dare?” I asked.
“Dare.” She grinned.
I thought about it for a second and then it clicked, “Okay, I dare you to let me wrap my wings around you for two minuets without screaming.” I told her.
“…Fine.” Mai smiled at Aki as I got up and walked over to her and got on my knees next to her and blinked a few times and noticed I could see over top of Mai I use to never be able to do that.
I wrapped my arms around her and then in closed us in my wings. Mai laughed a little “I don’t understand why Haru gets so scared.”
“Don’t think for a minuet.” I whispered in her ear to get her to turn her head to me and I kissed her deeply. I felt her slump a bit in my arms as I pulled away. “I figured it was the only way to be alone.” I whispered again.
With the little light that there was getting between my feathers I could see her face getting bright red as she blushed. “Um…y-yeah, um…”
“You might want to cool down a little two minuets is almost up.” I told her.
“I-I’ll try…” She said and hugged me.
“Times up.” I said and opened my wings, “See Haru, Mai can do it.” I sommented.
“Yes, I can.” Mai smiled.
“Yeah, yeah.” Haru huffed and crossed his arms.
“Aki, truth or dare?” Mai asked.
“How about dare.” Aki answered waiting for her response.
“I dare you to…” Mai trailed off and looked at Haru, “go into the closet with Haru for seven minuets, I’ll be nice.” Mai smiled.
Aki instantly got up and grabbed Haru and they went into the closet. I looked up at the wall clock to start the seven minuets.
“I’ll knock when time is up.” Mai called after them then she looked at me and smiled.
“Good one.” I answered knowing that they least the two were probably going to be making out for the seven minuets.
Mai glomped me and I wasn’t expecting it so we fell to the ground I hugged her tightly “Should we tell them?” I asked.
“We should, I can’t take it anymore. I’ve waited too long to become you girlfriend and I think they deserve to know. They’ve supported me and my crush for a long time now. Yes can Haru know I like you.” She explained.
“Alright, we will after they come out of the closet.” I answered with a smiled.
“I think its going to be hard getting them out.” Mai laughed.
“Well then let them go, they have 5 more minuets.” I stated looking at the clock on the wall.
“That means we have five minuet’s too.” Mai blushed looking down at my chest.
I brushed her hair behind left ear and smiled down at her. “I can’t believe Aki hasn’t noticed yet. It’s a hard thing to control my thoughts.” Mai told me.
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to anymore.” I said and kissed her forehead.
“I won’t. Do you know what I’m thinking now?” She smiled at me.
“No what?” I questioned.
“I’m thinking to figure out how I got so lucky to end up with you.” She told me.
“As long as your happy, So am I.” I stated and kissed her deeply again, this time she kissed me back. “Do you think we should tell them that time’s up?” I asked after I pulled away.
“Sure.” Mai nodded and got up then went and knocked on the door. “Times up you two.” Mai shouted.
A few seconds later Aki and Haru came out of the closet both Mai and I laughed a bit as we saw Haru’s shirt was on backwards. They were obviously doing something in there and I really don’t want to know what they were doing.
“Haru your shirt is on backwards.” Mai told him and he blushed a bit and quickly turned his shirt around.
“Anyways, Mai and I have something to tell you.” I said started in the conversation.
“What is it?” Aki asked.
“Well um…” Mai looked down at the ground and a blush formed across her cheeks I took her hand and pulled her over to me.
“We’re dating.” I said and Aki practically glomped Mai and was laughing with glee.
“I’m so happy for you Mai!” Aki explained.
“It’s about time.” Haru commented punching me in the shoulder.
“I know, I know, I should have figured it out sooner and I know that I can be oblivious to things at times.” I stated.
“Well since Mai has waited long enough, we should let the new couple have some alone time.” Aki commented and went back over to Haru.
“Right and be safe you two.” Haru winked at me. It was getting late anyways and I’m sure that their parents wanted them to get home soon.
After the two of them left, I turned to Mai, “So did you just want to go upstairs and relax for a bit considering that it is getting late.” I asked.
“S-sure.” Mai nodded and I took her hand and went upstairs. I went into my room and got out some gym shorts and a baggy t-shirt for her to wear.
“Thank you.” She said taking the clothes and went to the bathroom to go and change.
I just threw on a pair of gym shorts and took off my shirt as I was tossing my clothes into the hamper Mai walked back in and when I looked at her she was looking at me. I looked at her then at myself then back at her again. “Do I have something on me?” I asked
“No, I’m just looking at you.” She answered.
I grabbed my TV remote and crawled into bed. Mai seemed hesitant at first then crawled into bed too. I switched over to my side so I was facing Mai and I let my wings show and to let them stretch, they get cramped up when I keep them folded and hidden all day. I turned on the TV and started flipping through the channels.
“Your wings are so beautiful.” Mai said to me.
“Thanks, I just wish we weren’t considered freaks of nature. But at least you and Aki and Haru can hide it a little better than I can.” I said stopping on the Travel channel because Man Vs. Food was on.
“You’re not a freak to me.” She said and moved over closer to me.
I adjusted my self so I could put my arm over her. I ran my hand up and down her back without thinking of it as I watched TV. She got closer to me and I could feel her feet against my shins. I was taller then her…I didn’t think that I was going to grow at all considering I have been 5’5” for about five years now. I looked at Mai as she watched TV and smiled a bit. She noticed me watching her and looked at me.
“What are you thinking?” She asked.
I tilted my head and kissed her lightly on the lips, she kissed me back I pulled back and looked at her. “Takumi? Since when are you taller then me?” She asked confused.
“I don’t know actually maybe just today. I think we were the same height yesterday.” I responded. I must have grown probably three or four inches today but I didn’t understand why it didn’t hurt.
“I’m certain of that. It must be the lab then. That lady probably thought her perfect experiment was too short.” Mai commented.
“What, you don’t want your man to be taller?” I asked smirking at her.
This made her blush, “T-that’s not what I meant…”
“So what do you mean?” I asked still smirking.
“I was just…I would like you no matter what.” She looked away from me.
I brought her face back to look at me “I’m not done.” I told her and kissed her again and pushed against her lips.
She leaned against me and kissed back. I pulled away for a second and then kissed her again. She pulled on my shirt and I pulled away “What’s wrong?” I asked confused.
Her face was bright red, “…you still don’t know w-what you do to me.”
“What did I do? I didn’t hurt you did I?” I panicked.
She placed her hands on my shoulders “No, no you didn’t.” She smiled “I just lose myself around you.”
“So does this mean no making out?” I asked my smile falling and my wings drooped.
She hugged me, “I didn’t say that. I’m just sorry that I probably don’t, react right. I feel like I freeze up, and I feel like I can’t make you as happy as you make me and..” She continued to ramble on.
“You do make me happy Mai.” I interrupted.
“I-I do?” She blinked “Really?”
“Yes really.” I said and turned off the TV put the remote down on my desk and switched off my desk lamp making it dark in the room and I hugged Mai and kept my arms around her. “Good night.”
“Y-you mean…” She stuttered.
“You don’t have to sleep in here if you don’t want to.” I told her.
“I never said that.” She answered and cuddled with me, “I just can’t believe I’m here with you.” She said.
“Good night.” I smiled closing my eyes and fell asleep with Mai in my arms.
