-Takumi-
“Where do you want to go next I asked?” Putting the bag in on hand and taking her hand in the other.
“Can we go to debs?!” She asked excitedly.
“Sure.” I smiled at her and she let go of my hand and skipped into Debs.
I just followed her in as she was looking through the clothes. I noticed that they were having a clearance sale on a lot of their clothing. Must have been because they were getting their winter clothes in soon and they needed more space.
“Takumi what can I get?” Mai asked looking up at me from looking at some skirts.
“If you want you can pick out four outfits.” I told her.
“Okay.” She answered and she picked out her outfits carefully and most of them were from the clearance racks. I don’t blame her they were still really good clothing and I found most of my jeans and shirts in the clearance racks. She picks out two pairs of jeans and two skirts then some nice tops to go with them.
She hesitated while we were in line waiting to pay for her clothes, “You sure?” She asked me a bit worried.
“Of course.” I smiled at her and when we got up to the register I paid for her clothes.
“Okay, now it’s time for you to do some shopping.” Mai smiled at me and took my free hand.
I smiled back and I took her to hot topic I let go of her hand so that she could wander and I could get some clothes. Sadly all of my jeans now looked like caprices and that wouldn’t help very much when the snow did start flying. I found some really cool looking baggy pants and I didn’t really go for the skinny jeans this time around. I have enough of them as is it. So I got a couple more shirts and some cool sleeve like things that would go good with some of my shirts.
In the clearance rack I saw a Lolita dress that would look amazing on Mai and when I picked it up and looked at the size it seemed like it would fit her perfectly. It was black with light blue designs on it and I knew that it wouldn’t clash with her hair so I decided that I was going to get it for her and for it to be a surprise for her when we got home. I looked up to see where Mai was to tell her that I was going to go to the register when I saw some guy placing a hand on Mai. With out thinking I quickly went over and swatted the guys hand away from Mai.
“Back off my girlfriend.” I told him.
“She never said she had a boyfriend, so she is fair game man, I don’t see a ring on her finger saying that she is yours.” The man said and he tried to reach for her again.
I swatted his hand away again and now I was starting to get mad, “I said back off.”
“What are you going to do punk? If you haven’t noticed, I’m bigger than you.” He commented and that instantly ticked me off. I hated when people commented on my height.
“T-Takumi…” Mai muttered behind me a bit timid.
He pushed me aside and went at Mai again and I grabbed his wrist and started pressing down on his pressure point, ‘I should just break his arm.’ I thought and blinked a few times as I vision was starting to go fuzzy. ‘No…not now.’ I thought trying to suppress whatever was inside of me back.
“Let go Takumi…please don’t fight.” Mai begged and I looked over at the security guard to see him look over at us.
I let go of the guys arm and he backed away, I’m sure that his entire arm was numb from that, he grumbled and walked away cradling his wrist. I took Mai’s hand feeling a little dizzy and went over to the register to paid for my clothes and then we left the store and I sat down on one of the benches away from the store. I placed a hand over my left eye I could see anything out of it even with moving some of my hair to get light into it. Whatever it was that was inside me was triggered by anger.
“It’s a good thing that we left the store when we did.” I laughed a little still a bit dizzy.
“Hua…?” Mai said confused and I lifted up my hair to show her my eye. I was right I couldn’t see anything out of my left eye.
“Y-yellow…so, you’re starting to change…I’m sorry.” She apologized.
“It’s not your fault Mai, but maybe we should get home and hopefully that will calm my nerves.” I stated letting my hair fall back over my eye and standing up.
“Yes, I agree.” Mai nodded and got up on her toes and kissed my cheek then took some of the bags.
We went out to the car and Mai drove us back to my house. She was a good driver even though she didn’t drive that often. When we got back to the house I took the bags up to my room and plopped them onto the bed then went back down stairs and into the bathroom. I closed the door behind me and went over to the mirror and lifted up my hair again to see if I could see anything out of my eye again, but with no luck…it was still yellow and the dizzy feeling still hadn’t gone away.
Maybe it was because I was hungry so I went into the kitchen and made Mai and I something to eat. It was nice that she was over so that way I wasn’t home alone. IT usually got really quiet when my parents weren’t home. I wondered where they were and when they were coming home. ‘I’ll give them a call tonight and ask them when they are coming home.’ I thought as I drained the water from the noodles. I just made Mac and Cheese because I wasn’t really in the best of moods to make something that would take a long time.
“Mai I made us some Mac and cheese if you’re hungry.” I called to her from the kitchen getting the bowls down and some forks out as I scooped out a good portion for myself.
“Okay!” I heard her call and she came into the kitchen and got some food. I finished before her and put my bowl in the sink. The dizzy feeling had just gotten worse.
“Mai I’m going to go and sit down in the living room I’m not feeling all that well.” I told her and then went into the living room and sat on the love seat and placed my hands on my head. My vision in my right eye was getting fuzzy and my body felt heavy as if I was getting tired and I couldn’t do anything about it.
‘Move over Takumi, I’m taking over for a while.’ Was the last thing I heard and then I blacked out.
