Have you ever had one of those days were everything just hit you? Where all the stress you brushed off, all the sleepless nights you had and everything just sat on your shoulders and it would only take one thing, only one thing and it didn't matter how small or how dumb a thing it is, to set you off into a fit of tearful anger? Well, it was one of those days for Aoi. Stress, sleepless nights, everything just seemed to hit him as he rolled out of bed this morning and he knew it was going to be a bad day even before he left his apartment.
And he was right. It was a bad day. He had forgotten his cigarettes, gotten stuck in traffic on his way to the band meeting and he knew when he walked into the studio, his day would only get worse. Once again, he was right. The second he entered the studio, Kai was on his case about being late and really, Aoi couldn't help that. It wasn't his fault the taxi got caught up in traffic. So, to just keep the peace and to hopefully have a better afternoon, Aoi mumbled a sheepish sorry and went to make sure his guitar was tuned.
Of curse, nothing was going his way today and all it took was his string snapping and, just like that string, Aoi snapped. Brow twitching, he tossed the guitar on the ground. All noise stopped when the instrument smashed against the ground and all eyes, full of disbelief stared at Aoi. Never in a million years did any of them, Aoi included believe, Aoi could harm one of his 'babies'.
"Not one word." Aoi hissed, head bowed and hair hiding his face. That said, he stormed form the room, slamming the door as he left.
An uneasy silence fell on the rest of them and it was broken by Ruki who went to follow after the dark haired guitarist.
"Ruki." Kai hissed, glaring at the vocalist whom paused at the door. "What do you think you're doing?"
Ruki frowned and crossed his arms over his chest. "Going after Aoi?" Ruki didn't see anything wrong with it going after Aoi and all. After all, who better to send after Aoi than his own lover?
"Just let him cool down, okay?" Kai pleaded. He knew how Aoi could get hell, all of them knew how bad Aoi's temper is when roused and Kai would rather have all band members in one piece both physically and mentally. "You know he has a bad temper."
Ruki grinned at that. "I know he does. But, trust me, I'll be fine." With a final wink, he was slipping out the door and heading to the bathroom. Aoi always went to the bathroom when upset and that was where he was right now. Ruki was sure of it. Reaching the bathroom, Ruki paused for a moment to brush off his pants. Yea, he knew he was delaying but, every minute Aoi had to himself made his job all the more easier.
Pants smoothed, he opened the door and false blue eyes searched the bathroom until they landed on the figure hunched up by the window. Sighing, he walked toward his lover and wrapped his arms around him.
Aoi didn't react to the embrace and merely gazed out the widow, watching as two birds flitted about. It was amusing and calming to just watch them but, if Aoi was going to be honest, Ruki's embrace helped to but, just a bit.
"Talk to me." The shorter mumbled, pressing soft kisses to Aoi's neck. "What's wrong."
Aoi felt his first smile of the day curl at his lips and he rested his hand aganist Ruki's arm and bared more of his neck for him. "Just, one of those days."
Ruki chuckled softly and tighten his arms around Aoi. "And is it still looking gloomy?"
Aoi tilted his head to the side and pulled Ruki's face towards his own. "Not anymore." He whispered and closed the distance between their lips with a grin and he was right, the day was looking better already.
