~Jasper
I listened to the people outside before turning back to what I was working on. At the moment, I was only fixing my left arm. I didn't want to go and see Charles and I didn't want to be there when he woke up, so this was how I entertained myself. Being there when 'Satri woke up was enough. After that, I had picked a nice place alone in the hospital where I was fixing a damaged part in my arm.
After 'Satri hit her head and the leeches came back and Charles went in to try and save her, they were both out. In a panic, I put any near metal covering vital mechanics in my arm and the bones before lighting it on fire. Sure, it was a rash choice, but not like it hurt me much. It just didn't look pretty. I had been able to burn some of the leeches, while a few ran off.
I had managed to drag both of them out while 'Satri was only partially with me before she blacked out a few moments before the others got there. Once we had arrived the first two to receive attention were 'Satri and Charles. Some of the doctors were worried about my arm, but I quickly assured them that it was all mechanical and I could tend to it on my own.
I stopped working for a second and looked up to see a doctor looking around the corner at me while I worked. As our eyes meet he quickly bowed and then ran off. I guess that's what to expect with those who weren't familiar with.. Our kind of modifications.
But I guess anyone might stare, especially if you were hunched over your arm, picking dead skin away, while your arm barely bleed, while seeing machines coat your bones and muscles. If I wasn't used to this, I would stare too.
Sighing, I did one more twist as my hand twitched and I could move my arm again. I bandaged up my arm before I heard some crackling and strengthened the signal of the communicator. I heard Rei and then heard Des. It sounded like there was a problem, but in a few seconds, everything calmed down. I figured Des had gotten there and pretty much all but killed whoever had just tried to get in.
I felt I had killed enough time and I should probably go see Charles. I sent a quick message to Seth asking her to trade look out positions with me and a moment later I got a response back saying she was on her way.
After she got there, we exchanged quick hello's and I was on my way to see Charles when I ran into a person who I least expected to be here. She was short, still only about five feet and still had that childish look on her face and her blonde hair was pulled into two messy pigtails.
She seemed confused before smiling "JASPER!" she squealed and dropped all her papers flinging her arms around me, "What are you doing here?" she said with a smile. I shrugged.
Seeming to calm down she looked at me with concern. "That's a military uniform." her eyes slid to my arm "And I hope you've been taking care of yourself..." She looked back up at me as her bangs feel into her eyes.
"You're here with Mr. Antroe, aren't you?" I nodded thinking it was weird to heard Charles being addressed so formally. She fidgeted, "I'm sorry our hospital isn't well equipped..." she mumbled before grabbing my good hand and started to lead me towards Charles room, "But we really are doing the best we can." she knocked once on the door and without waiting for a answer, she opened it.
I didn't look at Charles and just walked into the room after her. She looked like she was about to say something before a "oh frick" look crossed her face and she turned back. I sighed and handed her the papers that she had completely forgotten about when she dropped them to hug me.
She smiled, "See! I didn't forget them! Jasper was just hiding them from me!" marching over she took the documents and scanned them quick before bouncing into this medical terminology and trying to explain it to Charles.
Des looked over at me and whispered, "You know her?" I nodded. "She's my Aunt Jessica." I said as she brought the papers closer to her face and struggled to pronounce a word. "And don't worry, she may seem stupid and clueless," I saw her puff her cheeks out and continue to skim the papers. "But she dose know what she's doing and takes her job very seriously."
Continue?
I know it's a bit of a awkward point to end it, but I haven't rped as Jasper in a while >.<; And yeah, I decided to have their nurse be Jasper's air headed aunt, Jessica.
