~Charles
People had been coming and going from the room frequently, though I wasn't much in the talking mood. A bit of a ditzy doctor would check on me every now and then. Charles the Feeble wasn't going to be doing much for a while. I know that I was just felling sorry for myself, but I figured that I had earned that right for a while. Everyone seemed to have something to do to help, except for me.
"So Jasper, when do you think we'll be able to get out of here."
Jasper had given up on talking to me for a while, and was just working at maintenance. "I've got some signals from other communicators that don't belong to us nearby. Service probably sent some squads to clean up the situation. When they arrive, we should leave with them."
"How long should that take."
"Maybe an hour or two, depends on how well it-" There was the sound of an explosion about a block off. "It's getting crazy out there."
The room feel into a silence for a while. Every now and then you could hear the rest of the squad beating down those brave/stupid enough to enter the hospital. After Jasper left me by myself, I decided pity time was over. I threw off the sheets from over me, and sat up. I looked down and saw I had new clothing on. I pondered for a minute who did that.
I started to put a bit of weight on one leg, then the other. I followed this by falling, and leaving a face print on the floor. Getting back to my feet slightly more carefully, I covered up my stunning floor replica with the carpet.
My nurse Jessica came in due to the bang. "Is everything okay in here."
I gave her a nod.
"You shouldn't be walking yet."
"I'm sorry, but you haven't made me very confident in your medical knowledge so far. I'll forgive you because you're cute though." I gave her a smile to let her know it was a joke... for the most part. So far, due to chart mix ups, she has diagnosed me with several fatal diseases.
"Hey, I've just been a bit clumsy, but I'll let you know I graduated top of my class."
"Then why are you working here?"
I got a moment of silence from her. "Currently the medical field can almost raise the dead due to Genesis. Not just because we are making new limbs and organs, but because of modifications to the doctors and nurses that allow them to perform procedures that were impossible before." There was more banging in the distance. "Your knowledge and skill doesn't matter nearly as much as how you've modified your body. I personally lack any, so I'm considered a third rate nurse."
There was silence in the room, and more explosions outside. As I had not earned the title Charles the Cheer Up Already, I didn't know what to say. As Charles the Social though, I knew how to change the subject. "It's really getting rough out there."
"Yeah..."
I peered out the window. The sun was bright, but I made out a distant figure in the crowd. He was dressed in pure white with a slender shape. Vines wrapped around his arms, and connected to the ground. "FU*K!"
"What?" She ran over to the window.
"That uniform is of the Furors personal squad. This is bad. Go get the other, tell Des who they are, and that they're close, and we need to leave before they arrive."
"I thought you were going to leave with the squad that came?"
"Not with them! Now go!"
The rioters saw him. Almost everyone knew what that white uniform meant, and they attempted to flee. I knew what was about to happen. Vines popped out of the ground snatching every last of the rioters in his sight, at least thirty of them. He waited for a second with them trapped in his vines. Finally he gave a smile and waved his hand. The vines tightened, and cut directly through whatever they were touching. There was no doubt that none of them had survived.
I backed away from the window, and tried to head as quickly as possible through the hospital to find the rest of our group.
I recognized the man out there as Richmond Glory. He was one of the six members of Stern, the furors very own squad. They were known to be a blood thirsty squad. There are countless accounts of death due to friendly fire from them. Richmond was ranked third in his squad.
I entered the main lobby to find everyone grouping up. The few doctors and nurses left in the hospital were there too. They probably wanted to leave with us after they heard Stern was there. I headed towards Des in hopes of orders.
~Myself
There are four members of Stern, and four of us. That means if you want, you can make one of the members of Stern. :D Just remember, make the super overpowered.
Me: I always want them to have more problems. Why? Cause you people don't understand the meaning of screwed yet.
Charles: You wouldn't have me get hurt in this, would you. D:
Me: Charles, you are so going to die.
Charles: Will not. I am CHARLES THE INVINCIBLE!!!
Me: For being invincible, you're missing a surprising amount of limbs.
