I ran after them with Fai in front of me. "Fai! Fai! Are they good at fighting? Well? Who's the strongest? What about the team leader? Oh, and who was the one who took off Sally-Sue's legs? And when did Nathan show up? Why is Nathan here anyway? I thought he ditched-" I ducked as a fireball flew at me. "You ask too many questions!" she growled at me and I frowned.
"Fine then!" We continued to run after them until gun shots were fired at us. I ducked behind Fai as the heat around her got hotter and the bullets melted before they could touch her.
I looked around her to see it was one of the girls who had stayed out of most of the fight. She was aiming a large gun at us and had a look of confidence like she could take us. I shrugged and steeped out from behind Fai.
"I think I can take her, why don't you go on ahead?" I said before getting another fireball thrown at me, "And let you have the fun? No way!" She laughed and threw the hair out of her eyes.
"Besides! This one looks like she might actually put up a challenge!" I nodded and un-clipped a vile that hung around my waist. I put it in my mouth and crushed the glass with my fangs before swallowing the glass and acid that were in it. It didn't take long before I had made five thing needles that had some of the acid in them.
The glass was thin and should break on impact. She started shooting at us again. I pulled the needles out of my skin at seeing the clear liquid had filled the glass needles. I held one in my hand and waited for a opening.
It didn't take long as she dodged one of Fai's fireballs and quickly reloaded her gun. I threw the needles at her. Four out of the five hit her because her reflexes were faster than I thought.
Two needles stuck into her left leg that soon collapsed under her. The other two, one was sticking into her shoulder while the other had only grazed her cheek.
She went to grab the needle out of he shoulder and pulled it out and threw it on the ground as it broke. Fai shot me a dirty look. "Why did you have to do that? I was having lots of fun, and now she can't even do anything!" I shrugged and walked past Fai.
"So where did your little friends go? I was interested in them... I hear they have a little kitten with them." I giggled. "But that's beside the point I-" she quickly grabbed a gun that was stashed away on her and shot at me.
I stumbled back and soon the pain flooded to my shoulder. I hadn't been quick enough to move the metal there for protection. I growled and absorbed the bullet and glared at her.
I could hear Fai laughing at me. "Serves you right, Roset!" I didn't even look at her before remembering something. "Well, I can get back at you easily!" I said remembering the last time I did this, Fai freaked out.
I created a short knife in my hand and threw it at her hand that held the gun. It stuck in her wrist and she screamed. She tried to get up and run, but her legs were numb and wouldn't support her at all.
Grabbing her arm I shot a glance at Fai as she finally figured out what I was doing. "Gah, geez, Rose! Can't you do that later!" I laughed and bit down hard on her arm. It didn't even take much for my fangs to slice through the muscle and bone. The girl screamed as I pulled from her elbow down off and chewed on her arm.
I laughed at Fai's disgusted look and swallowed before trying to dab some of the blood off my mouth. The pain in my shoulder had gone down and it felt like the bullet hold was healing. I finished making sure to chew well. Even though it didn't really matter much if I swallowed something whole or not, it was a pain sometimes. The girl was clutching her arm with a open mouth, but no sound came out. Blood streamed out of the arm and where my claws had grabbed her.
"What? You were going to start without me?" I heard the familiar voice and frowned. I didn't want to share! Turning, I looked at Nathan as he walked over. It was odd, when I joined Stern I was interesting to see that we both did this. But as far as I could tell, he just did it cause he could. He stopped in front of me and looked down at me. I looked away and crossed my arms. "You were just too slow! And besides, I only ate her arm." he looked at my shoulder and seemed to understand pretty much what had happened.
I snapped out of it as I heard Fai speak, "So what? Are we going to stand around here all day, or finish this!"
