I guess I'll do one as K'satri and then one as jasper!
(by the way guys I loved going back and catching up! your posts are all seriously great! sorry for my long absence) anyway, since I write in third person its harder to switch perspectives for me because it's all similar……
~k'satri
K'satri watched as Des lit the image of Charles on fire and began to throw other things noto the small flame: a chair, a blanket, a pad of paper, anything and everything she could find! The soldier stared from afar, not wanting to interrupt her leader's little…uh…rampage.
Suddenly the boys bursted into the room and happened upon the blaze and crazed Des. Seeing her chance to kill a few birds with one stone, K'satri made like a banana and split, grabing Jasper n her way out. Now Des could get away with Rei in the same fashion and K'satri could go weapon shopping with…well…a weapon-guy. 'win win right?' thought K'satri, 'not for nyx… poor nyx…'
"So weapon guy, ya have to help me find a replacement for steve!" K'satri said cheerfully, tugging him along through the streets.
~Jasper
"I'm not 'weapon guy,'" Jasper muttered, "And I don't know who steve is…" Jasper followed his teammate down the crowded alleys and wondered why she had to be so weird.
"Steve," K'satri huffed, "Was my stave. But he died. And now I need a new weapon and I want you to help me pick one!"
"Oh?" Jasper said, hardly paying attention as his fellow soldier babbled. Suddenly there was a tug on his sleeve.
"Are ya even listening Jasper?" K'satri asked with a glare. "I said we're here."
'Jeez,' Jasper thought, 'Bossy.' "Coming, Sorry."
K'satri lead the way into one of the few weapon shops that lined the streets of the military district of Haven. It was a small district, set there for people like them: traveling soldiers and infrequent visits from the stern. Quietly and with complete concentration, K'satri inspected every weapon she could find until finally only one remained. Jasper watched as she picked up the modern, lightweight scythe and gave it a trial twirl.
Jasper ducked from the blade as it it swept oner his head. "Careful "satri." He cautioned. She sighed, disappointed as she put the scythe down.
"Definitly not for me…" She muttered. "Hey shop keep! Ya got anything else?"
The owner looked up from his paper and shook his head. "You've seen it all lady. Pick something or get out already."
K'satri, to Jasper' s dismay, was not satisfied. She stomped up to the counter, and peaked over at the owner. "Then what's that behind you?"
"What's what?" He retorted gruffly.
"The case behind you. What's in it."
"Not for sale."
"Just lemme see it!"
"It's Not for sale." The owner reiterated.
"Fine, I'd gladly do business right next door. Nice seein ya. have a nice life." K'satri said and turned to leave.
"Fine!" The owner said. "But you better not be pulling my chain. This thing is expensive."
"I have money just show me the damn thing!"
Reluctantly the owner pulled up the box and placed it on the counter. A few soft clicks and popped latches and it was open exposing a beautiful antique staff with a dark, smooth wooden handle and a lethal metal blade at the top. K'satri was in love, Jasper could tell. But he wasn't sure she had the money for such an item.
"Can I try it out?" K'satri asked, already making grabby hands.
The shop keeper looked ready to say n, but decided to let her try.
Kstri wielded the staff like it was made for her and Jasper saw that the quirky soldier did have some element of grace and elegance in such a lethal way that it disturbed him. If she was actually serious for once, maybe they'd get more done.
"It's nice and all," Jasper said leaning toward the owner. "But how much?"
"I won't go lower than 1400."
Jasper almost choked. "1400?! isn't the a bit much for a staff?"
The owner looked annoyed. "For your information, it's a three hundred year old cross staff. A very rare item." To K'satri he said, "Give it a share flick to the left and then the right."
She did as she was told and tow more lethal blades snapped out of the handle and locked into a horizontal position. K'satri looked amazed and awed.
"I'll take it." She said without hesitation.
Jasper argued, "It's a bit much don't you think?"
"Please," K'satri said, Handing an account card to the keeper. "I have some savings!"
Jasper shrugged. If she wanted it and had money, why should he intervene? K'satri purchased the staff and the shop keeper almost had trouble handing it over. Whenthey finally left, K'satri waited until they came to a wide, almost empty alley.
K'satri turned and stared at Jasper who looked quizzically back at his teammate.
"Fight me Jasper. I wanna see what this thing can do!"
