Sorry guys, I'm not going to be posting the next part of MotP tonight. In addition to spending all day working on an artwork (I forgot to eat much again... orz) my dad's in the hospital. The stress finally hit him. =O^O= I'm going to go with my mom tomorrow as he may be released by then. Ja ne.
Okay, so here's the first part of the MotP sequel, The Training Chronicles! X3 Yes, that's the official title... Since it's been a while since I've been writing this, I have no idea how I'm going to start this off and it might be short to begin with, but it'd be better than nothing! *grins* Now! Off to the storyyyyyy...!
~*~Part 1: Cerulean City~*~
Aberius
What's up with this...? Aberius thought. We've been traveling together for a week and we haven't even done anything significant... Aberius wrinkled his nose and crossed his arms as he looked over at his recently new traveling companion, Kitty. She walked nonchalantly with the same wide grin on her face and her hands behind her head, almost as if she had not been in grave danger a mere seven days ago. Kitty turned and noticed Aberius glaring at her and blinked, then flashed him a smile and winked. Aberius caught himself and quickly looked away, his cheeks flushing a little. Geez, I'll never figure this girl out... He turned to look at Kitty, again.
"So," he said to her, "when are we going to start this so-called training you were going to give me, huh?"
"Hm?" she replied, a wide, fox-like smile greeting his question.
"Tr-ain-ing..." Aberius said, putting emphasis on each syllable as if the girl were slow.
"They say that patience is also a form of training, you know?" Kitty walked ahead with her carefree step.
Aberius grumbled to himself. Why did I leave the village again...? he thought frowning at the ground as if it'd give him an answer. When the ground gave no response, Aberius' eyes travelled ahead toward Kitty and they fell on her ankle. His thoughts went back to the time when the very same ankle had been severely swollen because of hunter's poison, and her life was hanging by a thread. His heart wrenched and he put his hand over it to ease the pain. I don't know her very well, but seeing that happen... I feel like it's my fault... If I had noticed sooner, she wouldn't have been in that situation. That's why I'm here. I owe her for that... That's my reason, right...? Aberius continued walking deep in thought when he came across a large pair of eyes looking back at him.
"Oy," Kitty said, as she had been standing still and Aberius was walking right towards her without noticing.
"Ah!" Aberius jumped back, taken by surprise. "D-don't get up in my face like that...!"
"What?" Kitty murmured, "You were the one walking without paying much attention. I just wanted to let you know that we've arrived at the next city."
Aberius looked up at the sign. "Cerulean City" was engraved in bold letters. He looked around and saw many people walking through the streets. I wasn't paying much attention back when we were in Pewter City, but... it's so lively... I've never really been to one before, excluding Gravel's town. Aberius thought back to the flirtatious gym leader who had helped him when Kitty was ill. He smiled to himself. Thanks, Brock... Thinking of him also brought his mind to the awfully energetic Pikachu gijinka who has stood back to back with him against a horde of Beedril. He had learned to properly master two attacks that day because of the situation, but he probably wouldn't have been able to hold them all off if Raishi hadn't been there. The little guy... Aberius snickered. I wonder if he's not learning the wrong things from Brock... Aberius shook his head and walked alongside Kitty through the city streets. A child ran past and tripped on a small rock. She slowly lifted her face and tears streamed down them. Uh oh... The child started crying out loud. Kitty jogged over to the girl and rubbed her back.
"Are you alright?" she said. The girl didn't say any, but continued to sniffle. Kitty pulled off her bag and rummaged around in it, pulling out a candy and holding it out to the girl. "Here, try this, it'll make you feel better." The girl looked at Kitty and then down at the candy. Hesistantly she reached for it and removed it from the wrapper, popping it in her mouth. Her eyes lit up and she smiled through her remaining tears. "All better?" Kitty smiled. The girl nodded and smiled back.
"Thank you, Onee-chan!" the girl said. Kitty rubbed her head and smiled gently.
"you're welcome," she said. The girl gave her a small hug and then went along her way to a woman that looked to be her mother. The mother smiled at Kitty and looked grateful as she bowed and walked off with her daughter. Kitty waved to the child, looking happy and relieved. The whole time, Aberius had been watching with a gentle smile on his face. When he realized what he was doing, he shook his head. Well, maybe she's not a complete moron... Well, maybe she's not a moron at all, but she's always got this goofy grin on her face... Aberius scoffed and rustled his hair, trying to figure out what it was about Kitty that bugged him so much.
"Abbie!" Kitty waved and Aberius' ears twitched. He still didn't like the nickname she had come up with for him. "C'mon, follow me. I want to pick up some supplies at a local shop so we can be prepared when we head out." Kitty grabbed Aberius' wrist and dragged him along behind her. Aberius' face flushed a little. Why do I feel like I'm a house pet...?
They came up to a small supply shop and went inside. The owner at the counter greeted them and went back to organizing some merchandise. Kitty looked around at some food on the shelves and began putting items in a store basket. She wiped her forehead with her arm.
"Whew..." she said, "After all that walking, I'm a little overheated..." As she said that, she untied the scarf that she wore on her head and pulled it off. That's when they caught Aberius' eye.
"Kitty..." he said, "what's that on your head...?!"

Okay! After I get started typing, things just kinda take on a path of their own! X3 Mostly this part of the story was a recap of what's happened, somewhat. Aberius has seen something on Kitty's head, but what could it be?! =0 You'll have to wait until the next update to find out! Don't you just love me and my cliffhangers? XD Mata ne! =3
