Aberius
"Wha... What did you say...?" Aberius stared blankly at the girl.
"I said why don't you travel with me?" Kitty repeatedly plainly as if it were natural to pack up and leave without a second glance. She started to stand.
"I can't just go off with you just like that!" Aberius shouted, also getting up, but his legs failed him and he toppled over, taking Kitty with him. "Ouch..."
"Y'know... I understand you don't agree with my point, but you don't have to molest me..." Kitty said.
"What...?" Aberius said getting up. He felt something soft in his right hand. He looked down to see what situation his lack of stability had put him in. He had Kitty pinned down to the ground... and his hand was on her chest. Aberius' face flushed from bottom to top like a thermometer and he jumped back.
"I-I-I'm s-s-sorry! I didn't m-mean..." Aberius stuttered out. This really is turning out like a story from a graphic novel...! He thought chest heaving in embarrassement.
"Uuuhh..." Kitty looked up red in the face and with the first timid expression he'd seen since she appeared. "How could you do such a thing to an innocent, unsullied girl...?"
"I-I-I-I s-said I was sorry!" Aberius' eyes got wider. Am I going to be executed for molesting a little girl?
"Uuuhh... Now I'm pregnant... take responsibilty..." she stated.
"... Huh?" Aberius' brain froze. Kitty smiled wide then pinched his cheeks and burst out in laughter.
"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" she started to lose her breath. "You should've seen your face! You're as red as a beet! You didn't think I was actually pregnant, did you?!"
"O... OF COURSE NOT!!" Aberius shouted, now more embarrassed than before. She had been making fun of him the whole time... "I just didn't want to be accused of molesting a little girl."
"Little girl? How old do you think I am?" Kitty raised an eyebrow, still coming down from her bout of laughter.
"You've got to be younger than me. I'm seventeen... so you're, what? Fourteen?"
"I'm 18." she stated.
"What?! You're older than I am?!" Aberius was yet again shocked. I can't travel with her, she'll give me heart attacks...
"Yeah. And what...? You thought a 14-year old girl would have a husband...?!"
"You don't do that...? In my village, it's normal for a girl to be mated at 14..."
"Then you've got some serious pedophiles in your hometown, Abbie...." she looked at him curiously.
Pedophile...? What's that supposed to be? Some sort of ritual? Aberius frowned. "Don't call me Abbie... and you're really flat for your age, you know that..."
Kitty hit him on top of the head. "Whichever, Abs..." The girl got up again and dusted herself off. "So, I should get out of here. You comin?" she extended a hand.
"I told you I can't just go with you..." Aberius looked up at her, still frowning.
"If you keep frowning like that, you'll look like an old man." Kitty lifted him up despite his protests. "What could be left for you in a village where you wind up bruised and bloody, anyway? You got a girl here?"
"... I'm not mated... I'm not big enough for the females around here..." Aberius frowned more and he furrowed his brow. Now that I think about it, what am I staying here for? Because it's the only place I've ever known...?
"Too small...?" a wide, mischievous grin crawled across Kitty's face. "Well, pull down your pants and let's see for sure!"
Aberius' face just about exploded "WHAT THE HELL!?!? NO, YOU PERVERT!" Aberius covered his front, blushing furiously. "That's not what I meant. I don't need to prove my size, there, anyway..." he looked away pouting.
Kitty petted him on the head, "Aw, Abbie, you're just too cute..." she grinned widely.
"Geez, you're really just too weird..." Aberius looked at her, feeling so humiliated.
"Well, maybe," she put her hands behind her head. "Then I'll ask you this... Even if you don't want to travel with me, could you at least guide me out of the caves?"
Aberius mused looking at her warily She's going to rape me, isn't she...? He shook his head trying to get his thoughts straight. "Even if I know the way out, there are plenty of strong gijinka on the outside world. And like I said, I'm weak..."
"Well that's exactly why you should come with me! I can train you to get stronger!" Kitty smiled.
"You? You don't look like you could take on a Smoochum, less likely..." Aberius began, but was interrupted when the girl came in close. For a split second, he saw her confident grin before the world spun as she had flipped him. Aberius coughed and felt pain in his side again, "What'd you do that for? I'm injured, here!"
"You said I couldn't take on a Smoochum. And I'm pretty sure you're bigger than a Smoochum, short as you are."
"You jerk..." he coughed again. She was faster than he thought, so his guard was down.
"I know you could be stronger. You have the potential..." the girl kneeled down and pressed her forehead to Aberius'. "You just need someone to teach you and bring out that potential." Kitty lifted her head slightly and looked warmly into his eyes.
Aberius felt that he couldn't really refuse. However he was still skeptical. "Fine, I'll escort you to the cave entrance, but I'm going back home after you're out..."
"Suit yourself..." Kitty extended a hand.
Aberius took her hand pouting slightly and wondered just exactly how he managed to find who was possibly the strangest girl on the planet. He shrugged the thought off and left it to chance as he led the girl around the corner, further away from his village.
