Omg! There've been so many posts to read! =@_@= The newlings in the club (tho not so new, now) are quite active *dies* I could barely keep up! It was like "Ok, I've put a huge dent in reading these posts, so I'll save the last few for later..." Then 20 more posts show up! D=> My gosh...
I have 16 posts left! I think I just got through about 10 in the past few hours "OTZ I'll try to knock out the rest tomorrow. Also, it makes me really sad that the ball's already starting! =;A;= I understand everyone's anxious, but pacing...! *sobs on the floor* Everything's going by so fast and there's no time for development... My poor heart is breaking =;A;= </3 At this rate, I might actually have to quit =;_;= But I'm going to read them tomorrow and then tried to summarize things in my posts... *more breaking heart* I usually like to make my posts extensive and all-inclusive, but... It'd take too long to write and read =TT_TT= I know, it's annoying to listen to my ranting.
Well, I guess while I'm confessing things, I may as well point out something else... Spelling and grammar errors... One of my top 10 pet peeves (if I even have that many). And I've noticed so many obvious ones... Like the difference between "than" and "then." I'm going to tell you this right now, and I hope if you read this, you commit it to memory:
Than: A comparison word. Ex. "10 is greater than 7."
Then: A time word. Ex. "I brushed my teeth, then headed out the door."
There are so many more that I couldn't even begin to list. Sorry if I sound mean/rude, but I have this vein that happens to pop up when I see things like this... And some of the words used change the meaning of the sentence entirely! Like "whipped" instead of "wiped." Listen, if it's "whipped" it'd better be cream or an overly accomodating man. C'mon! You're making me cry, here! I'll admit, we all make mistakes and happen to miss a few typos here and there in our haste, but there are some things that are just... just too much... People might think it's a petty thing and that we're all just trying to enjoy ourselves... but I have a hard time reading things with so many mistakes in them. I've been filtering out these mistake in the back of my mind, but one day, it's all gonna come spilling out in the worst way! It's fine if you use certain things in the characters' speech pattern, as it's the way they talk, but to begin with, please learn the difference bewteen the words I've pointed out. There are so many more, but off the top of my head, I can't even begin to point them out...
If you all hate me for this rant, I won't really blame you. But I've been holding this in for at least half a year, since I didn't want to step on anyone's toes. Phrasing things... can be difficult in this sort of situation. At any rate, I'll be posting soon. By the 25th is my overall goal. Sorry to mix good news (is it good?) with my anger (raeg?) over spelling and pacing... The writer in me just cries sometimes... XD; *is assassinated*
