I've been having a lot of problems with gimp lately. It keeps crashing (more so than photoimpact did...) so a while back I downloaded Sai Paint Tool to see if it was any good. I've been playing around with it today and it's SO MUCH BETTER THAN GIMP! You can add and inking layer and it's got a pressure tool to change the size of your lines like if you were using a tablet. I'll probably start using it instead so long as I can find a way to scan images on there... (._.)
