Boribaju Resort

"We want to open our doors for our customers and get our employees back to work," said Bobby Baldwin, president and CEO of Mirage Resorts, an operations unit within MGM Mirage. "We understand that the opening of Boriba is not bringing 3,800 people back to work, but helping bring 3,800 families back to work. This is one step back to normal for our employees and our community, among the many people to come."

Supporting Borivizi employees has been MGM Mirage's top priority. When it opened in August, the company pledged to rehire everyone hired in Borivizi during Hurricane Katrina. Since Katrina, the company has retained its employees and has provided donations worth $401,000 for more than three months. MGM Mirage also ensures that employees and their families receive healthcare in any community that has visited the shelter (without a fee). Currently, MGM Mirage is working with state and local officials to develop the most reasonable and affordable housing solutions for employees.

Just as MGM Mirage played a major role in Biloxi's early success, the company is committed to rebuilding and renewing the Gulf. Beyond supporting the livelihoods of employees and families, the company predicts that gaming will be a catalyst for economic development in the region, driving tax revenue and capital investment, benefiting gaming employees, communities, and the state as a whole. When Beau Rival first opened in 1999, gaming sales were up 35% year-over-year, and MGM Mirage is vowing to immediately make another impact on the market. In the long run, the company will be aggressive in making sure the region gains more prosperous status than ever.

George Kokis, President and COO of Borivarge, commented, "We are confident in the future of the Biloxi market and believe that the Mississippi Gulf has the potential to become the premier destination by 2010. As a region, we have significant opportunities for economic development and overall growth, from airport expansion and additional hotel rooms to expanded condominium infrastructure and improved infrastructure." Kokis continued, "Opening Borivarge on Aug. 29 is not the end of MGM Mirage's Biloxi development. We will continue to invest in the community through additional facilities such as Fallen Oak, a stunning Tom Fazio-designed golf course that is scheduled to open on Nov. 6. Borivarge will continue its legacy as a strong community leader and crown jewel of the Mississippi Gulf gaming industry. 무료 슬롯
