NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got the wrong trombone mute! Now i have to get someone to drive me to a very far away music store within a week. Gah!
Before the symphony thing was marching band. It was tiring.
The symphony thing was confusing. I don't usually play so many naturals and F sharps. I couldn't play the notes fast enough and couldn't keep up (i'm a horrible sight reader) I was completely not use to it. Usually i play in a key where there's at least some flats but in a symphony it really different. I played much better after break though. I already seen the music and got an idea of what notes to play.
I started practicing the songs and i can play them now. YAY!
Anyways, on one of our songs it says it needs a mute and i don't have one. My band director says i should use a "stoneline" mute. So i went to the far away music store today and got a mute. (i trusted the guy gave the right one) I ended getting a stoneline "practice" mute.
I emailed my band director to ask it i got the right one because i have a feild trip tomorrow. 2 minutes later he emailed me back saying i needed a stoneline "straight" mute!
GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you have any idea how i feel right now!?!?! I have to get someone to drive me back to the very far away music store before next week! The next rehearsal for _yso is tuesday! *cries*
I didn't even get to play with the mute yet. *cries more*
Joined art club. Actually i just went to the meeting for like 10 min the i had to catch the bus. It starts next week.
I told my mom that i wanted to join art club but i didn't give her any details. (i forgot there was a meeting today -_-') So yea...i want to join. It isn't expensive but i'm gonna talk to my mom 'bout it.
__yso thing is tomorrow! Idk what i feel about it anymore. A little excited, i guess. Tomorrow after school we're gonna march in band! We didn't march today (T.T) I'm not sure if we're gonna march tomorrow either but we're definally going to stay after school tomorrow for band 3. Get a few minutes to go home and do hw and stuff then i leave or __yso. That's pretty much about it.

I decided i'm going to do the __YSO. I"m SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo nervous! My band director said he wants me to take private lessons. Private lessons are SOOOOOOOOOO expensive (everything where i live is expensive) I'm already taking private piano lessons $55 per hour, if i do trombone private lessons i'll drain my mom's pocket money. The rehearsal starts on tuesday and i'm scared!
Went to a party today! it was sorta fun. I gave my friend some stinky lotion and body spray. Didn't know what to get her. But overall it was sorta fun.
Still scared about __YSO!

I don't know what to do. I don't understand why my band director would choose me. I don't practice THAT much. Heck! i only practiced once or twice over the summer. I don't practice the recommened amount of practicing. I don't have a lot of tromboning experience.(this is gnnwan's third year of playing. that's only 2 full years since i didn't even know how to open my case) I don't take trombone private lessons so why me?
I like band and all that but i don't understand. I tried out for jazz band the VERY VERY VERY VERY last minute last year and played 3rd trombone (out of the 3 trombones there were)Even though i'm in band 3, i was in band 2 last year. Plus, i never played in a symphony before, only band. We have string orchestra but we only combine to symphony @ the end of the year in band 3. (remember i wasn't in band 3 last year!)
I really don't know. The thing is my band director is also the director for the _____(insert city name cuz doesn't want to share her location) Youth Symphony Orchestra (_yso). He wants me to play in __YSO because he really needs trombones and really wants me to play in it. He said i'll get a scholorship and they can pay half of the money thing that covers the whole year. And i don't need to try out and i'll automatically be in the symphony. But i'm a very doubtful about it. The ppl there probably more experienced or have private lessons. Over the summer they went to Europe to play!!!!!!!!!! (that's like insanely good kind of symphony)
I don't know what i should do. I do have some transportation problem but if i really wanted it could probably get there. I feel like i'm really doubting myself but i'm really not sure if i can do it. I was kind of thinking to try out for __yso but now i know that if i join i'm already in, it really make me VERY unsure.

I didn't practice! T_T I should of. I didn't do as well as i wanted during the first day of playing in band today. I was hold a note too long (forgot to count) and like all the trombone section was looking at me. So embarrassing!

Oh yea! I presuaded my friend to play cello! I couldn't presaude her to join band so yea....THE POWER OF PRESUATION!(my spelling sucks, as you all know) MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! I would totally play cello if i was in the school string orchestra. I think it sounds really cool.
Beat bus again today. Oh yea!
MUST go practice now.
