Larva watched Kero physically settle down. He let the boy cling to him and tried his best to seem human in his responses. Larva often forgot what it was like for humans and often spent his free time studying their movements, trying his best react the way they did. He felt, he thought and he understood but his mind was so different that he was often misunderstood. Yet he was still Shinma and will always be Shinma. It was something that deterred Larva from being close to anyone and was always a hurdle that was hard to jump.
“It was... no problem” Larva said with a seriousness that may have been misunderstood. When Larva was modest or slightly embarrassed he sounded more serious than anything. It was his eyes that always gave him away if one knew what they were looking for. This is how Eli always knew what Larva was feeling, even if his body and voice betrayed one emotion. Larva looked over Kero feeling assured. His eyes ran over the Neko from top to bottom in a slow observance like water trickling down on a misty, rainy day. Those deep and thoughtful eyes touched every part of him, hovering over his ears and that swishing tail, trying to understand the boys thoughts as well as his own…
