I sat down and watched Sebastian as he fussed about. The chair in the library was stiff and the silence was almost deafining.
"Here, Drink." sebastian said a glass of red coloured water in front of me. The blood tablets nothing to the actual thing.
"I already fed. I'm full." i said looking at the water with disgust. Sebastian then placed a new batch of the tablets on the table pushing them towards me as i crossed my arms and leaned against the back of the chair.
"What's going on Sebastian? Tell me."
"I don't want.......i just...... it seems as though every time i turn around someone has spilt some blood......" he sat down on the chair opposite me and put his head into his hands. I got up and walked to him, leaning on the table and patted his head gently.
"I know....... Have you told the headmaster of...."
"No. Noone needs to know."
"Sebastian, if blood is to be shed so freely in this school you will need more help; i will need more...... protection."
My hand rested on his head as silence engulfed us. I looked away at the rows of books and tables that lined the room.
Sebastian got up, my hand sliding from his head. He grabbed my wrist before it hit the table and pushed back my sleeve. The small scar that cicrled my forarm gleemed in the moonlight. He gently prushed his thumb against the scar and then dropped my hand.
"Our classes will begin shortly. What do you propose cousin?" i pushed my sleeve back down and continued looking at the books.
"I propose we go to our classes. You will go to Weapondry and defence; i will go to World history.... what more is there for us to do."
"That's not what i ment and you know that cousin."
"As you said there is nothing we can do. The curse of our clan must remain a secret, we can not jeperadise that due to blood being spilt. The only thing we can do is watch out and ensure that none of us become...... starved." I looked at the blood tablets and grabbed them off the table i chucked them into my bag and crossing my arms leaned back against the table.
"Cousin..... it isn't safe..."
"Stop it. This is what the elders want.... and this is what they shall get."
"You are putting innocents in danger just to teach the elders..."
"No one is in danger..... as long as they obey the school rules.... that's what their there for."
"I seem to feel as if there is something you haven't todl me cousin."
"I would never lie to you cousin, you know that."
"But i must ask the corret questions to get the answers i seek....." he smiled and grabbed up his bag slinging it on his shoulder...
Exiting the Library i walked behind him an umbrella opened, a bad habit from the early 1900's i would say. Sebastian held my bag, i could see from here the vile tablets that were nothing but food colouring when it came to me. As we rounded the corner several human girls squealed, my ears in sever pain. James walked out of the bathroom shirtless a towel drapped around his shoulders as he gently dried his hair, fangs exposed.
"Now, now Ladies...... i'm hungry enough for all of you."
I now took a closer look at the girls as they seemed to get excited about his saying. They all had the look of gothic students. Dark hair, dark badges attached to their bags, depicting vampires in their beauty and scenes of blood.
"Ohh, look who's come. The pureblood and her noble stead. Do you not get bored of ruining my delicious plans?"
"James, i have no intrest in foiling your plans..... however i DO take a certain joy from seeing you face fall when you realise that if i WASN'T here you would actually have to DO something.... which you know you can't do." i said slowly spinning my umbrella.
"You and i BOTH know you wouldn't do it."
"Are you trying to call a NON-exsitant bluff?? I like your new approach... no threats... no pain.... it's subtle.... Too bad it won't work." at that he grabbed the nearst girl by the wrist spinned her into his chest and gently bent down to lick her neck.... all before the girl was able to react. The speed of a pureblood.
"Good day James. I shall see you in class." i waved gently and walked away. Sebastain followed astounded in my method. He ran up to me and looked at me, awaiting my explanation. I smiled gently and continued walking. Finally i heard it,
"EEEEEP GET AWAY FROM ME YOU WEIRDO FREAK." the sound of a slap came to my ears and several female screams... the sound of James's confusion and then the running steps of the girls as they ran away froom James.
Ahhh, the power of hypnosis.... So easy and yet boundlessly FUN.
