hey guys! well, another week has gone by for me, and it's a bit...rough. school seems to be getting harder and harder, but the good news is that there's a sequential art competition for graphic arts (aka a comic contest) and my teacher asked me to be in it. so that's what i'm working on; it's only seven pages long with a cover, and i just started thumbnails, so hopefully it'll look good. i'll post it when i'm done. i've got until next friday, so wish me luck.
o, and remeber about that whole phoenix wright musical thing? well, unfortuntately there was some *cough alot cough* favortism involved in the picking, and my friend didn't get picked (which is a shame, she really can sing and act well) and only the people in the original group that formed got main roles. well, my friend and a few others wanted to start an "apollo justice musical" and she asked me to help with the composing of the melelodies and lyrics, along with maybe a singing role (there aren't very many female roles in the game, but we're thinking olga for right now). but i just thought it was cool that she asked me to do that, (it was because there was a song without music or anyone singing it, just lyrics and i came up with a tune for it and she really liked it) so i'm happy.
and i have a debat with my bf, so help me out. i know green day has a bit of an unusual voice, but he doesn't sound like he's holding his nose while singing does he? (i've listened to new found glory for so long, i think they sound like they're sick with a cold) so yah, if y'all can help me out with that.
o, and on an anime related topic, i finished reading "hana yori dango" a few days ago, which is for some basically "boys over flowers". it was a "love-hate" story for me. i loved the characters, domyoji was hilarious and loveable, and mikano was pretty energetic (but there were moments where i despised her) and rui was just great, he started off as a character i hated, but grew into this loveable funny guy. and the rest of them too, what i didn't like was there was periods of time where "i love you!" then the next minute "i hate you!" and there were tons of cliches, but my only defense for that is the fact that it was done in the early 90's, the eve really of shojo manga, so i think it was one of those that helped establish those cliches, but yah...
if you like shojo, i suggest you read it, but it's really long (242 chapters) and there are parts that are just depressing. so...if you like soap operas, you'll love it! lol
