"What a day. I never thought something this bad would happen." I sighed deeply as I placed a wet cloth onto Hatsuharu's forehead. "He's your friend. You should of seen this coming." Hideki retorted as he hung Hatsuharu's coat on a hanger.
"But Hatsuharu's unpredictable. That's just how he is." I retorted in my own defense. "Whatever... If he wanted for us to stay away, why was he carrying this around?" Hideki asked me as he showed a plastic bag, filled with party hats, balloons, cups, party blowouts, a table cover, some napkins, a few decorations to hang on the wall and lots more...
I placed the plastic bag aside while I glanced over at Hatsuharu's unconscious form.
"If I didn't know any better, he was trying to bring the party to us." Hideki commented. "I guess so. All the more reason to worry." Etoile placed her head onto Hideki's bedside as she stared at Hatsuharu in curiosity. "The nerve of that guy." Hideki grumbled out.
"Give him a break. It's not his fault for fainting on the spot." I retorted as I faced my brother. "I wouldn't call that fainting. That was an act." I rolled my eyes at him, recalling what happened before.
Flashback:
"Alright... I won't go." I spoke up, reassuring Hatsuharu of the case. Hatsuharu's grey eyes showed signs of relief as they lit up at my answer. "That's good to hear..." He mumbled out.
Suddenly, Hatsuharu leaned forward with his eyes closed. My cheeks turned bright red at his actions. In a surprised state, I opened my arms to catch him as best as I could.
"Oh no you don’t!!" Hideki spat out as he held onto Hatsuharu's coat from behind. "You keep your hands off of..." He stopped in his tracks once he stared at Hatsuharu. A vein popped up on his forehead as Hideki faced me.
"He's asleep... He's fast asleep!" He laughed in irritation. I chuckled softly, followed by a disappointed sigh. I was really looking forward to the embrace, even if he were asleep. He always seems to keep his distance from me. It's like he doesn't want for me to get attached to him. But it's too late for that. If only Hatsuharu would open up to me more.
"Oi... Haruhi!"
"H-hai!!" I piped up as I shook off my thoughts. "Don't leave me hanging here! Grab his bag." I nodded as I got on my feet. "Why me?" I asked him. "Why do you think?! My hands are full!" He spat out at me, in which I slapped myself in the face. Of course... He's carrying Hatsuharu on his back. How stupid of me.
"We'll drop him off at our place for the moment. But as soon as he wakes up, he's out of there!" Hideki looked agitated at the moment. I insisted on helping him with Hatsuharu, but he wouldn't let me.
"So... How about letting him sleep in my room?" I asked him. He glared at me at that question. "Nice try! He's gonna sleep in my room!" He retorted sharply. I just laughed at his attitude.
End Flashback
"At any rate, I'll inform Mom and Dad that we didn't make it to the party." Hideki changed the subject. He took out his cell-phone and walked out the door. I made my way over to Hatsuharu and sat at the end of the bed. The door opened again, revealing Hideki staring back at me with his cell-phone placed against his ear.
"Don't try anything weird."
He warned me, making me grin softly. He's the one who's acting weird. I patted Etoile a few times on her head. She looked up at me with her puppy dog eyes. "Could you watch over Hatsuharu for a while, Etoile?" I asked her. She readjusted her pose, making her look like a dog on guard.
"Good girl. I won't be gone for long." I spoke up as I made my way to the door. With one quick glance at Hatsuharu, I turned away and closed the door behind me.
--------------
I walked out of my room, having slipped on my cow printed pj's. My hair was tied up in two pigtails, as usual. No use in dressing all fancy when I'm just staying home.
I made my way over to the staircase, leaning down as far as I could without falling. Hideki was walking around, still with his cell-phone at hand. He seemed preoccupied with the person on the other line.
"Yeah... I know. I already told you, I'm not getting you anything." He said through the phone as a smile appeared on his lips. "I'm not lying. There will be no party this time. I promise." I placed my chin onto my open palm, sighing contently.
"I almost forgot. Hitomi Nee-san's birthday is coming up in a week." I mumbled out, not wanting to intrude. Hideki always plans a big party just for her. Even though she doesn't like that sort of thing, he still does it for the past three years.
"Love can be such a pleasant thing. Makes me want to experience it for myself."
I glanced over at Hideki's door as I recalled what happened on the streets before. "If only Hideki didn't butt in like he did." I pouted as I walked up to the door and opened it slowly.
Etoile began to bark as soon as I walked in the room. I placed my index-finger on my lips, indicating for her to be quiet. "I get it. You did a good job. Just don't wake him. He needs his rest." I spoke up in a mere whisper. The door cracked open, revealing Hideki standing in the doorway.
"Done talking?" I grinned widely. "As a matter of fact, I am. I wouldn't be standing here if I wasn't." Hideki retorted. He threw his cell phone in my direction. I caught it as I arched my eyebrow in question. "What's thi-" "Call the kid's parents. He must of wandered off without them knowing about it, no doubt." Came Hideki's answer.
"Y-yeah... But the thing is..." I began to say in embarrassment. "What's the problem?" Hideki asked me as he leaned against the doorframe. "He never talks about his parents." Hideki sighed deeply.
"Fine... What about other members of his family. Can't you call one of his cousins or sumthin'?" I cheered up immediately, already having someone in mind.
"Yeah! I'll call Shigure-san! B-but where's the phonebook? I don't know his num-"
"Here you go. Knock yourself out." Hideki took out a phonebook from behind his back and handed it over to me. "How did you know I was going to need one?" I asked him in wonder. "Just a hunch. He's unpredictable, remember?" Hideki retorted with a smirk. He stuck his hands in his pockets as he stared me down.
"You know... For a friend, you really don't know a lot about this guy." He commented. I couldn't help but to agree with him. Hatsuharu is such a distant person. He hardly talks. And if he does, it's not gonna be about him. He's always like that.
"Haruhi? Are you going to call his relatives or not?" Hideki waved his hand in front of my eyes, making me snap out of it.
"Y-yeah! I guess I should." I retorted with a smile. "Mom and Dad are still out, having a good time I presume. You know how those two get." Hideki pointed out as he ran his fingers through his silky blonde hair.
"I just hope they don't end up at the mall, shoplifting for the heck of it. I swear... Sometimes, I feel like I'm the boring parent around here." He muttered out.
I just laughed, remembering the time when Mom and Dad got home, accompanied with two policemen. They were causing quite the trouble at the public library. Hideki really is too mature sometimes, but that's just how the cookie crumbles.
"Just warn his family. He looks like a hoodlum, but I'm sure he has a family that cares about his well being." Hideki spoke up.
I guess that's true... Hatsuharu didn't want for me to meet his family. That's probably the reason why he stopped us. Hideki was about to walk out the door. He was followed closely by Etoile, who wanted to go out for a walk. "Where are you going?"
"Out." He grinned widely. "I still got a lot to prepare for Hitomi's birthday. This time, she'll have the surprise of a lifetime." He said as his eyes seem to lit up. "You know the drill."
"Yeah... Whatever happens, I have to deny the existence of your little surprise party." I rolled my eyes playfully. "That's right!" He spat out with his index-finger in the air. "You'll be okay while I'm gone, right?" Hideki asked me, already forgetting about Hatsuharu.
"I'll be fine. Go ahead and have fun." I told him with a smile. Hideki grinned widely as he closed the door behind him. Etoile managed to slip through the opening on time. I sighed deeply as I made myself comfortable on the bed, keeping enough room between me and Hatsuharu. As I scanned through the phonebook on my lap, I quickly spotted Shigure-san's name.
A few minutes later, the phone was ringing. I found myself growing nervous. What if they think I didn't show up on purpose?
Third POV:
The party at Shigure's house got a little out of hand. Everyone didn't feel like talking. The silence was overwhelming. "W-well...Would you look at that! I think I need to refill the snacks!" Tohru broke the silence, as nervous as she was.
"It's quite alright, Honda Tohru. There's no need for that." Akito replied softly. "I see..." Tohru nodded her head. "Well. It looks like Hatsuharu's female friend won't be showing up today." Akito retorted as he smirked. "What an ungrateful child." He finished off.
"Haruhi's not like that. I'm sure she had her reasons for not showing up." Momiji retorted in a mere whisper. Akito eyed Momiji, feeling insulted by his answer. "Momiji..." Yuki began to say in a mere whisper. The blonde faced Yuki with a surprised expression.
"Akito...You have to excuse Momiji. He's feeling rather sick." Yuki covered up for Momiji. Akito seemed to lose interest in the topic.
"Akito... It's getting rather late. We should be heading back now." Hatori piped up with that emotionless voice of his. "I guess so." Akito rose on his feet. Shigure handed Akito's coat over to him. He accepted it and got ready to leave. Just when Akito and Hatori were about to walk out the door, the phone rang loudly.
"Oh my. Who would that be at this hour?" Shigure asked himself in wonder as he placed the phone on his ear. Akito glanced over at Shigure, wanting to know who called.
"Ah! Mit-chan! How are you today!" Shigure replied loudly."It's just Mit-chan. It seems that she's got a lot to tell me, so it's going to take a while." Shigure whispered softly as he waved his hand in a playful manner. Akito seemed to lose interest again.
"Let's go, Hatori." Akito said as Hatori opened the door for him. As the door closed behind them, everyone couldn't help but to sigh in relief."What was that all about?" Hiro was the first to speak. Kyo got up on his feet and walked over to the door.
"A-ah! Kyo-kun! Where are you going?" Tohru asked the orange haired teen. "What do you think? I'm going out to find Haru."
"I don't think that will be necessary, Kyonkichi-kun." Ayame retorted with a playful grin. "Stop calling me that!" Kyo yelled out in anger. "Okay, okay Kyo-kun. Just sit down and be quiet. I'm still on the phone here." Shigure pointed out, in which Kyo sighed deeply and sat back down. "Ano... Shigure-san. Is there a problem?" Tohru asked.
"Ah! I guess I should put it on speaker. That way, everyone can follow the conversation." Shigure replied. As soon as he did just that, a familiar voice could be heard throughout the room. "A-ano... Shigure-san. Are you still there?" The voice asked. "Of course!! Go ahead and talk! Everyone can hear you now!"
"It's Haruhi!!" Momiji yelled out in joy.
"Y-yeah... It's me. I just called to tell you guys that Hatsuharu's at my place." Haruhi muttered out softly. "What a relief." Tohru sighed happily. "Is she the girl that Haru-chan's seeing?!" Kagura piped up loudly. Kyo's ears were ringing from the loudness she carried in her voice.
"Would you keep it down?!!" Kyo piped up as he hissed at Kagura. She just kept smiling brightly.
"So he's alright?" Yuki asked. "Yes! He's currently fast asleep, so I can't pass the phone over to him. I didn't want for you guys to worry. So I called."
"It's a good think you did. Kyo-kun was about to storm out the door. He was really worried about Ha-kun." Shigure replied with a grin. "I was not!! That stupid cow can do whatever he wants!!" Came Kyo's reply.
"You’re not fooling anyone." Hiro smirked in Kyo's direction. Kyo didn't say anything. He just crossed his arms over his chest as he frowned deeply. "Also... I'd like to apologize to the other members of the Sohma family for not showing up when I should. I was really looking forward to meeting you all. I was invited, but I didn't show up. What a stupid thing to do, huh?" Haruhi chuckled out.
Ritsu, Kisa and Kagura's expressions seemed to soften up dramatically. Ayame just smiled faintly.
"Do not blame yourself for it, little girl. If our meeting was not planned for today, it is bound to happen another day." Ayame began to say. "Until that day comes, I'll just picture your beauty in my mind." He finished off. Kyo and Yuki glared in his direction. "That sounds nasty, you dirty pervert!!" Kyo spat out as he waved his fist around.
"Nii-san!! You should know better than that!!" Yuki corrected his older brother. But he didn't seem to mind. Laughter could be heard from the speaker. It seems that Haruhi didn't take Ayame's comment seriously.
"Thank you. Again, I'm sorry that it had to end this way." "That's okay! I'll be looking forward to meeting you!" Kagura spoke up, not being able to contain her happiness.
"I'll be going now."
"Have a nice day, Haru-kun!" Shigure replied as he waved at the device, even when he probably knew that Haruhi couldn't see him. But that didn't stop him. "Moron..." Kyo muttered out. Shigure hung up and placed the phone back. "She seems nice..." Kagura whispered softly.
"She isn't. She's so impulsive. She never thinks before she acts. She doesn't get good grades in school, and she often blunders in every activity she does. In short... She's pathetic." Kyo described Haruhi in a matter of seconds.
"Oh yeah... And the fact that she's an airhead. I forgot to mention that." He finished off. Everyone stared at him in disbelief.
"Now now, Kyonkichi. You do know that hate borders the line to love." Ayame retorted as he smirked. "What the hell is that supposed to mean?!" Kyo blurted out. "Kyo's in love!! Kyo's in love!!" Momiji cheered happily. This didn't seem to please Kyo as he turned into a burning red tomato.
"Shut up Momiji! You know that's no- Crap!!" Kagura held onto his collar and shook him harshly.
"KYO-KUN YOU PLAYER!! SINCE WHEN WERE YOU CHEATING ON ME!! WHAT IS SO GREAT ABOUT HER!! WHAT DOES SHE HAVE THAT I DON'T!! TELL ME, YOU CHEATER!!" Kagura roared about. Kyo had a look of fear on his face. "P-probably... She probably doesn't..."
"She probably doesn't what?!"
Kagura still had a tight grip on Kyo's collar, but she stopped shaking him. "She doesn't shake me around like I'm a damn rag or sumthin'!!" Kyo spat out. Kagura wrapped her arms around him as she sighed in content.
"Kyo-kun. You’re so dense. Shaking you around like a rag is part of showing my love for you." She explained as if it were a normal thing. Kyo grumbled darkly, but didn't say or do anything in fear of Kagura's massive pummeling abilities.
"This sucks..."
Hatsuharu's POV:
The darkness faded away, letting me see the light again after what seemed like a long time. My eyes fluttered open, letting me see a blurry image of someone hovering over me. I felt a moist cloth being placed on my forehead.
As I looked closer, I saw the intense expression of Haru-tan's face as she kept fumbling with the cloth. The tip of her tongue stuck out of her mouth, which is also a sign that she was really focused.
"There... That should be enough."
She didn't even notice the fact that I was awake now. Haru-tan walked over to the pillows under my head and attempted to fluff it up a little. "I guess that's it." She finished off with a sigh. "If you want, you can scratch my nose because it's getting rather itchy." I replied softly. "Okay!" She grinned widely, but it soon faltered once she understood the situation.
"Hatsuharu!! Y-your awake!!"
She fell flat on her behind from shock. I just chuckled softly at her actions. I turned my head to face her properly, only to see her pouting like a little kid with her arms crossed over her chest. "What? Are you upset with me?" I smiled faintly.
"Well... Not really." She began to say as she crawled over to my side, still sitting on the floor. "Don't scare me like that." She finished off with a pat on my arm.
"Owww..." I faked dramatically, wanting to see how she would react. "I'm sorry!! Did I hurt you!? I shouldn't have done that!!" She blurted out in worry. "I'm fine. I was just acting." I grinned widely. This seemed to piss Haru-tan off. She smacked me on the arm, only harder this time. "Now that hurt." I muttered out, still grinning like a mad man.
"Not funny."
She pouted. I got up straight on the bed, not wanting to lie down anymore. Haru-tan stopped pouting and quickly got on her feet. "A-are you sure your well enough to get up?" She asked me. I faced her with a blank expression.
"I just fell asleep. I'm not sick." I pointed out. I came to realize something. Didn't I lean forward in Haru-tan's direction? Did anything happen?! I'm such an idiot! Why did I collapse in front of her!
"Hatsuharu? You look rather pale. Are you sure you’re not sick?" Haru-tan asked me as she looked into my eyes. "Don't tell me I... I couldn't have." I muttered out softly as I placed my hands onto my head. "You shouldn't worry about something like that. I already told Shigure-san about it." Haru-tan beamed, but that only made me more miserable.
"You told him? Damn... I'm in trouble." I muttered out. I can't believe this. "It's okay! They were about to go search for you, but I called and told them!" My depression got even worse as a dark cloud surrounded my entire being.
"Everyone?" I spoke up under my breath. A sweat-drop formed on Haru-tan's forehead. "A-ano... Did I make a mistake?" I dismissed her question completely. "H-how did it look... In your point of view?" Haru-tan placed her index-finger on her chin as she thought about it.
"I don't know... I guess you looked kind of funny. Your hair was a mess, and you were quite heavy." She answered truthfully. So it's true. "Oh man." I groaned softly. "What's the big deal? I just told Shigure-san you were here... Jeesh... And here I thought I was doing you a favor." She whispered.
I raised my head upon hearing Haru-tan's words. "Is that all you said?" I asked her. "What about the transformation?" Haru-tan raised an eyebrow at my statement.
"Transformation?" She placed her hand on my forehead in worry. "You don't have a fever. Maybe your just feeling nauseous?" She questioned herself in confusion. My facial expression softened up as I started to chuckle faintly. It was followed by loud laughter, which only made Haru-tan worry even more. I threw my head back and allowed for my body to fall on the bed. I still couldn't stop laughing.
"Hatsuharu!" I glanced over at Haru-tan's side and saw her standing there, holding a pillow over her head. She started to slam the pillow onto me several times. But still, I felt relieved that I didn't transform. There's no need to get her even more involved with the Sohma family. "Geez!! Why won't you tell me anything!!" Haru-tan got down on the floor with the pillow in her arms. She was pouting again to my dismay.
"I'm sorry." I spoke up as I wiped away the tears from the corner of my eyes. "And I really wanted to go to the party, too." She spoke up. I sighed deeply and got back on my feet. I stood beside Haru-tan and lifted her up, at the same time being careful not to embrace her. "Wha? Who? Where?" Haru-tan babbled in her confusion as her cheeks turned a bright red.
"Your such a kid." I commented with a sly grin. "Shut up." She retorted as her bangs covered her eyes. I carried her fragile body over to the door and kicked it open. With one swift movement, I placed her back on her feet, leaving her rather dazed and confused at the moment.
Before she could say anything, I slammed the door shut, not wanting for her to enter. Haru-tan just blinked a few times, still not knowing what's going on.
"H-hey! What's the big deal Hatsuharu! That's Hideki's room! What are you planning anyway!" She yelled through the door as she banged against it with her fists. I ignored her and turned to my little plastic bag.
"Looks like they didn't take it away." I muttered out as I took out the many decorations for a party. Haru-tan stopped banging against the door as I heard a deep sigh coming from her direction. I chuckled softly in reply.
"Let's get this little party started."
Haruhi's POV:
I slid down on the floor and wrapped my arms around my legs. "Just what is he doing in there?" I muttered out in curiosity. "As long as he's not making a mess in there, it's fine with me. Although he could of asked me to leave instead of having to carry me into the hallway." I retorted as my cheeks started to burn up again. Out of embarrassment, I hid my face under my arms, not liking this one bit.
"I'll never forgive him." I mumbled out shyly as I wiggled my toes nervously. "I don't even know what he did wrong, but I won't forgive him for it. I know that much." Came my childish comment on the situation.
I raised my head and leaned against the door, only for it to be opening to my dismay, sending me crashing on the floor. As I lied there on my back, I could see Hatsuharu's face staring down at me with a sad expression.
"No... Wait."
I got on my knees and faced him properly. "Right... He was grinning... Silly me." I whispered softly so that he couldn't hear me. As he kept grinning at me, I felt the need to ignore him. I crossed my arms over my chest and turned away, only to see what he had done with the place. I got up on my feet and admired the decorations on the wall...
The floor was filled with many colorful balloons... A small table was set up in the centre of the room, being covered with a table cover that matched the decorations. On that table were a few party cups and plates, even though he didn't bring anything to drink or eat along with him.
Hatsuharu made his way over to the small table as I just noticed the party hat on his head. He threw some confetti at me in a festive manner and blew on his little party blowout.
"Happy new year."
He spoke up with a blank face, making me laugh softly as I dusted off my pj's from all of the confetti he threw on me. "The year isn't over yet." I chuckled out, finding him quite amusing with that little party hat on his head. Not to mention his priceless expression.
"I shouldn't be mad at you anymore, huh? I guess I forgive you." I began to say as I sat down beside the table. He did the same and sat down next to me. His face held a confused expression.
"You forgive me? What did I do wrong?" Hatsuharu began to say in a daze. I just shook my head in a silly matter and dismissed it. "It doesn't matter. It's all in the past now." I retorted with a wide smile. Hatsuharu just tilted his head to the side in confusion. But he forgot about it instantly. He took a hold of a party hat and attached it on my head.
I felt kind of silly wearing it, but after seeing Hatsuharu's wide grin, I overcame my embarrassment and decided to keep it on. Hatsuharu averted his eyes to the table, not wanting to look me in the eye.
"I'm sorry for letting you miss out the party. But I really didn't want for you to attend it today." Hatsuharu whispered softly. I said nothing and just sat there in silence. "I can't tell you why you couldn't show up, either. It's a-"
"A secret?" I asked him slowly. He faced me and nodded softly. I grew somewhat saddened at that. I'm his friend. Can't he tell me a little bit about it? He's already a mystery himself. But... I do trust him... I guess he can tell me whenever he's ready. What else can I do but wait?
"It's alright. I understand." I began to say in a mere whisper. "Actually, I'm glad you didn't attend the party too. Otherwise, I would be in this house by myself again." I pointed out as I grinned.
"By yourself?" Hatsuharu piped up as he glanced over at me. I placed my hand onto my mouth, not meaning to let it slip out. "Y-yeah! Well, not entirely by myself! I got lots of friends, you know! They would be happy to drop by and have a little party ourselves!" I stuttered out, not wanting for Hatsuharu to think that I'm pathetic. Hatsuharu merely stared at me with a sorrowful look on his face.
"This was the first party you were actually invited to, weren't you? I'm such a selfish fool." Hatsuharu commented. "N-no! You got it all wrong!" I lied. But Hatsuharu could see right through me. Now it was my turn to look away.
"Well... I did get invited to multiple festivities when I was a kid. But I was too blind to see why they actually invited me over in the first place. You can take a wild guess." I grinned, even though my eyes had a sad glow in them.
"Because you were one of the popular kids around?"
I sweat-dropped at his answer. That really was a wild guess. Too wild for me. "No... Not really. You see... They invited me over, just because they knew Hideki would come along with me. Almost every girl that laid their eyes on my brother had a crush on him. And so... When they found out I was related to him, they talked to me more. They even let me join their little group of friends." I explained, feeling the need to tell him about it.
"Even though I knew it was all an act, I kept quiet about it. Hideki was so happy for me. Mom was so happy she told her co-workers all about it. Dad was so proud of me. He was happy I was happy. So... I could never tell them how I felt. That would only bring them down. I would feel even worse if that happened." I finished off as I stared into Hatsuharu's grey eyes.
"You’re making the same mistake." He muttered out as he shook his head. "What do you mean?" I pouted. "Your acting as if your happy, just to keep your family satisfied. Just like those kids did." Upon hearing this, my jaw fell open. I didn't see that coming at all...
"To be honest. I don't really care." I spoke up. "I only wanted for someone to accept me as a real friend back then. Just one person would be enough! But they just tossed me aside like I was a bag of dirt." I frowned.
"I didn't want for people to feel sorry for me either. That's all I'm saying." I groaned loudly as I pulled on my pigtails in frustration.
"I accept you."
Hatsuharu mumbled lowly, but I didn't even listen. "They didn't even know my name!" I continued to complain. "I'm one person..." Hatsuharu spoke up, but again, I didn't listen. "They didn't even listen to what I had to say." I ranted.
"I don't feel sorry for you... Most of the time, that is."
I looked up at Hatsuharu as he simply stared back at me. He blew on his little party blowout as his face remained a blank. "Did you say something?" I asked him. "Not really." He replied with a goofy grin.
My facial expression softened up at his answer as I started to laugh. "By the way... Where's your dress? You looked even more cute than usual." Hatsuharu retorted as my cheeks burned up again.
"C-cute?!"
He's always so straightforward! He doesn't even think before he speaks his mind! "I... I changed into something more comfortable." I stuttered out as my bangs covered my eyes. "It's normal for me to change when I'm not going to a party." I finished off. "That's not true..." "And why is that?" I interrupted him.
"Because you’re a princess."
He replied. I crashed down anime style. "I can assure you, I'm not a princess, Hatsuharu." I muttered out as I didn't move from my spot on the floor. Before I knew it, Hatsuharu leaned in and brushed away my bangs as he gazed down at me. I felt my cheeks burn up even more and closed my eyes, fearing for the worst.
I felt his soft lips being pressed on my forehead, making me open my eyes. He backed away a little and gazed into my eyes. My entire face saw red from embarrassment by now. "Yes you are." He spoke up softly.
"Hatsuharu... You’re not going to toss me aside like a bag of dirt, are you?" I asked him as I looked away. "Of course not... I'm here for you. I'm not here because I have a crush on your brother." He chuckled out in reply. He placed his finger under my chin, making me face him.
"I'm here for you." I felt the tears welling up in my eyes as those four words kept repeating themselves in my head. My sight got all blurry as I attempted to wipe my tears away.
"Is it that hard to believe?" Hatsuharu asked as he saw me cry before him. I shook my head, disagreeing with him. "I was just thinking..." I sobbed softly. "Why didn't I met you when I was a kid?" I laughed softly between the many sobbing.
"It's a good thing you and I didn't meet when we were mere kids. Trust me... I was a complete idiot back then." Hatsuharu retorted as I laughed. He joined in on the laughter.
In the end... I did get to have my little party. And it was worth it.
