This was from a while ago, but I felt like bringing this up again~
Okay, so I'm watching ani-monday on Sci-Fi. Me and my family all watch the first two episodes of monster (huge cliffhanger, btw). Then my parents go to bed and Street Fighters came on. Me and my brother play that puzzle game based on it sometimes, so we decided to watch.
It was the cheesiest thing I've ever seen.
People were say the oldest lines in the book. People with super powers are sacrificing themselves to take down beefed up villans, guys are telling girls that they watched their father get killed by mechanical dolls. I almost barfed. That wasn't the worst part.
So there's these two girls. Talking about what they SHOULD be doing. Then one girl calls the other "Suhkera." It took me a minute to figure out they ment "Sakura." I slapped myself. Really hard. My ears almost bled everytime I heard them say Sakura like that.
Like I said: cheesiest thing EVER!
No offense to the game though. It looks pretty cool. But the show SUCKS! The only people that made any sense and didn't use a bunch of cheesy lines were Ken and Sakura's friend. But even Ken had a semi-cheesy line at the end. I will never watch that show again, unless you pay me. (Or maybe just to laugh at its suckishness.)
I mean, really?! You can't take the time to figure out how to pronounce names?! Or at least get creative with the plot?! I felt like I was watching a feudal-modern-ninja-retard messed up version of Japanese Star Wars. Who ever made that should have had someone smack him with a deaed animal that's been left in the sun for about a week. Then sprayed by a skunk. Then mauled by an angry bear... Okay, maybe that seems excentric, but I PROMISE you, if you are at ALL a real Otaku, then you would feel the same way...
